typical may long weekend if you ask me!! somewhere south of here had almost 1 1/2 feet in a few hours this morning someone was saying. sounds far fetched, but i'm almost tempted to believe it.
Yeah it seems about every 4-5 years theres snow on the long weekend. Last year it was so hot on the May long! It was up around 26-28 C for the whole weekend. It was awesome. So I guess we are paying for it this year.
no such thing as a free lunch. i hope its moderately nice on saturday though. we're off to an atv/bike derby in rockford. i don't mind a bit of mud, but rain/snow while you're riding is a pain sometimes.

We went out for a ride on Sunday. It was a beautiful day, almost as much mud/muskeg as I wanted to find. And I was the only one who didn't get stuck, even though I went through all the mud puddles. Only downfall was the guy operating the GPS... Luckily my internal compass (or outdoor smarts as I like to call em) kicked in when he kept saying the trucks were further north. I looked up at the sky and he was saying north was where the sun was in the sky. Now around here in my books it don't take a rocket scientist to figure out the sun ain't in the north!
Pretty good Sherm, got to put out a few tomato plant's and pepper today.
you enjoy gardening Dave?? i do. i don't have the time for it right now, but i enjoy it. especially eating the fresh produce in the fall!!!! fresh boiled beets... not much can beet that!!!
hi all,
my mom has a couple of recipes for that stuff. and i learned from her. everybody
has their version of it but the recipe is pretty much the same.
plus i ran a produce stand when i was a kid. we had a 5 acre lot next to our house that the landlord let us grow just about everything imaginable. but yeah that stuff is good.
i make it every once in a while.
