It was a very nice morning but that`s about to change with winter coming back here.

Happy Thursday all, another week on the way out. Summer's one step closer. Seen a guy out hot rodding in a little short box chevy yesterday. Seems as though he thought it was a pretty cool ride. I think summer will find him looking at a Cobra's taillights at some point
That`s what Cobras are made for!

[QUOTE=ATV PRO #11;14182060]91 w/565,000 till tranny broke(5 spd). Blew on the way to a race in Brandon, made it there in 4th. Managed to get it rolling after the race and made it all the way home (3hours) till it piled up right where I stopped. Bought it used with 30,000 on it. AWESOME reg cab 2wd with a 4.0 in it. Greatest truck i've ever owned!! Oil, tires, brakes
My 2008 however.....SUCKED!! No power with a 4.0. 13.5MPG.
Sherwin, one of my customers from last season who i'm doing a garage reno on once healed is SELLING HIS 89 GT COBRA. Black with the red stripe (everyone remembers those ones) He hasn't put it up for sale yet but was IMO hinting at a barter!!! He's owned since new, never winter driven, stored inside always. I have this feeling deeeeeeep down in the gut, I WANT THIS CAR!!! Or wait, it's itchy stiches
QUOTE]
I have a 98 Ranger, decent power and the fuel mileage isn`t terrible, 22 mpg city/country driving which just slightly better than my 93 F150/300-6, AOD at 20 mpg.
If it`s a decent deal I`d certainly go for that 89 Cobra, sweet ride.
Do it Sherwin! Show him whos boss. I got a buddy in town with a 2011 Jeep Wrangler, lifted on 35s and he thinks its fast because he beat a Honda Civic with it hahaha! I'm thinking I'll have to show him what a diesel can do this summer
I test drove a Wrangler a while back. In stock form I was very disappointed in the performance. I couldn't see it beating Lance Armstrong in a race.

After being laid up since Jan, FINALLY have something to possibly look forward to other than returning to work!!!! May be jumping the gun at bit here, gut's telling me otherwise tho!!
Pretty sure that would be a sweet car. Be sure and post pics!!!

Its - ouch this am. Not as cold as winter was, but still hurting after a couple weeks of warmer weather.
There's a closed section of highway that is accessible and has decent pavement. I will not hesitate to take a challenge out to that strip. Its over a mile, so perfect for 1/4 mile runs. May be an expensive year on tires...
89 Cobra would be sweet. I notice that red one on Kijiji in MB is no longer advertised... Unfortunately it isn't in my garage either...

I never did keep track of my 91 Ranger, but it was from what I remember pretty darn good.
I'm hoping something will work out with the Stang!!

Once i'm a bit more mobile I'll be paying the jobsite a visit and will snap a photo of her. I do know I remember the headlights were starting to yellow but other than that it was pretty darn minty!! Hopefully the cards will fall in place.

Well it's a decent day out there, calling for snow tonight. Probably get ugly cause when the call for 1-3cm it usually means 6-8" here at home.
Have a great Throwback Thursday!!
That sounds like a nice car Curtis, you should buy it and let me drive it. But in all seriousness, you should buy the car

We have a rule in our shop that if your sick on Friday you don't get to come in on the weekend when there is over time going on. What engine/tranny are in your ranger and is it a 4x4 or 4x2?

The Jeeps with the 3.8 v6 are gutless but the newer ones with the 3.6 v6 have a little bit of power. They're not fast but it is a big improvement over the 3.8. Sounds like you got a sweet little strip for racing. There was a half decent strip here but it now has two large ruts in the pavement that don't feel too good when you hit them at 180km/h... not that I would know from experience
Howdy gang.
Sunny but a chilly day here, no snow which is a bonus.
Yesterday just before I came down with a bad cold I sold my 93 F150, my truck ''fleet'' is getting smaller.

Morning boys and girls. We're feeling some chill this am here too. -23/-32... Winter missed the memo that it is now in the spring solstice... GTFO winter.
Morris, hope ya feel better!! Love those old deep dish rims on the older trucks!!
Randy, that sucks you have a guy phoning in all the time there. Just one of those "Onion" guys taking advantage of all the slack their givin. Do you end up getting stuck working alone when a guy phones in?
Hoping to work out a deal on the car!! I've always wanted a late 80's stang or to find an older 70-73Camaro like my old ones from back in the day!!
Usually the outcome is the other way around as the i6 jeeps torque numbers come in at a lower RPM than alot of the full size v8 gas/diesels out there.........True story.
