I chose those numbers on the concervative side. Honestly, I drive my truck hard and have roasted 99% of the stock 3 out there. That's with the Banks 6 gun in there.....(gm/dodge/ford). So i'm not ultimately going for the huge numbers, just a decent MPG daily driver with some go fast goodies at the ready. I mainly copying a local guy here with a 525hp/900Tq 05 F250 with a 6.0. He did his own injectors and their working. He just bumped up from a stage 2 to a self modified stage 3 turbo. Guys a genious. I've seen vids of his truck getting 19+MPG with that set up. And of coarse in the same vid it does 30-100mph in about 4 seconds dropping the MPG to 12.5ish. It's his daily driver and been working on it himself for some time now. I know i'm lifted and approx 600lbs+ heavier than all stock SD's out there being a SUV. But i'm geared properly giving me that edge on alot more heavier built lifted trucks out there if they wanna roll some coal
I actually can't wait to get into the injectors because what he showed me is pennies on the dollar to compaired to buying remans/warrens ect.
Morris.....be sure to post some pics of the show!!! I missed our local show due to some self inflicted over activities after my fart button illimination. I heard is was a really good show this year. I'm assuming it's "World of wheels" or a similar traveling car show.
EDIT...... I missed the link you posted. Looks like it's going to be a good show!!
I know how you feel about conserving numbers, always better to low ball your truck than tell everyone you have 600hp so that way if you lose the race they can't rub it in your face. I don't care too much about hp/tq number, I'm just hoping to get 50hp extra from the wicked wheel with a little added fuel. I want my truck to be daily drivable and be able to tow what ever I want, along with at least keep up with most trucks. I think my truck is a heavy beast as well, with the cap on it its probably about 8600-8700 pounds with a full tank of fuel. That being said, with my Spartan tunes I was able to get 20-22mpg on the highway at 100 with 35" tall tires last summer so I'm hoping to be able to at least do that with my SPE tunes. I'm thinking when I add some extra fuel I might switch over to Gearhead tuning but I shall see as time comes how things go. Maybe you'll have to introduce me to Frank(that's his name right?) when I'm down there next

It`s a good show that`s been running since 1961 put on by a local car club which started up in 1957. In 2010 I had my T in their 50th car show.

Yep. Frank!! He is the man when it comes to injectors. To be honest, he invited me over and scanned my truck with AE. Explained alot of things to me with regards to the 6.0. Wealth of knowledge is unreal. He also took me into where he works on his injectors and physically showed me what to do, what to look for. Had I had the money at the time, I would have purchased his stage 2 when he moved up to stage 3 turbo. Offered me a hell of a deal but glad I planned for a slow winter because bills took presidence. All this because I was a newbie on the forum, looking for advice in a thread and get a PM offering to help. It's very hard for me to "ask" for anything from anyone so without his offer, I would have persued the "speedshop" that originally scanned the truck and would have been stuck paying out the ying yang for there route they wanted to take. Mind you, even with several phone calls back to them and 5G burning a hole in my pocket at the time (estimated cost from mechanic to do injectors/stem/cups) they never returned my calls. BLESSING and I don't think Frank knows how much he did for me at the end of the day
Having the same problem with NAPD and LACustoms out of AB. No one's returned my calls/emails for the trannyparts/billit triple TC I was going to purchase. SO I take truck to X Ford Tranny guy and he get's me set up for 1/2 the price. Unfortunatley I was pre planning to purchase all goodies in advance from Canada and or just an entire tranny built and send core in but another blessing from the lack of the companies customer service sent me to a shop who ends up ordering all the parts out of the USA cause he has had same problems here as well. That part sucks but I waited a week and a half for return calls...... Sheesh, thats one heck of a long reply

I hear ya. I'm not into "racing" per say. But driving my eX in the concrete village almost always ends up in some flipped up mirrored Dodge who's blowin black and straight piped passing me full throttle. Then they slow down and if the times right, 98% of the time they end up getting an ear full of the eX with NO black smoke.
As for Frank, I'm sure he wouldn't mind if we zipped over one day to shoot the breeze about our PSD's!!

Bummer Grant. Seems the flu's going around here quite abit. We're lucky so far here. Get better bud!!!
Pics or it didn't happen.
Here's the clutches out of the eX.
Directs were welded together.
Going with all updated clutches, billet internals, Billit TC, shift kit ect.
Booking appt with PHP for Tuesday to custom program the ECU/TCM for proper shift points/TC lock up with the power adding tunes at the same time. Very excited to have a little light at the end of the tunnel here and thought i'd share
Are you going to the Majestics show Colin?
Cross breeding is for just dogs....

Thanks Grant, I forgot to include my 56 F350.

Looks like you have your hands full... literally Hope all goes well in your transmission build
Ya, it's maily my own fault. Limped it around for a bit after xmas while MIL was in hosp takin care of family stuff. SIL's BIL's around with kids old enough to drive but can't help out with anything.......Don't think being 40 below for 2 months helped either or I'm sure I would have been more dilligent with maintence. When I did do the fluid R+R, both filters and put the newer LV rather than the SP is when it really started acting up.
Pretty sure the guy who pulled it for me ripped it up before dissassembly as well. Stopped at the local liquor store in Selkirk last night and a buddy of mine said he saw me rippin it up pretty hard 2 days ago. Went into the shop 3 days ago and haven't moved it since my surgery 2 weeks ago Laughed it off, grabbed my 6.9's and headed home in the better halfs Civic Lot's of new upgraded parts going in to put up what I put it through regularily. He's done trannies all his life and say's there isn't anything that compairs to the 03 and up Torqueshifts. Dodge and allisons he'll do 15-20 before he does 1 Torqueshift. I trust him, went to school with him back in the day
Morning boys and girls
Hopefully the shuffle buggy gets its parts in today!!
Feels nice and warm out there with the sun a shining.
Wifes off and our "Date Day" consists of getting parts, renting jack hammer and putting in a sump pit at the MIL's place Worker with benifits :P
Colin/Morris......Enjoy the car show this weekend boys!!
Grant......Hope your feeling better
Gerry........Warm stuff's coming, I think alot of us are "Done" with this winter season. When a Manitoban, N/Western Ontarion and Saskabush folks are fed up you KNOW it was a rough long season.
Randy.......You guys up this weekend or next? or should I say down.....
Happy Friday morning all. Still a bit weezy today, but at work. My alt lite came on this morning, and when I got to work it wouldn.t start, so now I have to buy and alternator for my POS. Took a look under the hood. YIKES. OH well. Have a great day guy's
