Beauty of a day here. Finally some noticeable progress on the house I've been framing. Its been taking most of the winter, but with the cold spells halting and slowing progress, its probably not actually taken as long as it seems...

Wifey spent a good portion of the day outside with the kids. We're sure loving the acreage life.

Hope everyone is able to get out and enjoy this weather.

I thought you farmed/lived on a farm? We're sure happy with our decision to move out of town. I'm not much for dealing with people 24/7, and there is no relief from it in the city. If I had a day off I hated being at home because there were always people around. I love being outdoors, the acreage has become my permanent holiday. I like to keep busy even when I'm not working, the acreage has given me that.

I'm not bragging, just expressing self satisfaction

I'm planning on building a bigger shop/garage this spring. Right now there is a few buildings in the yard. A 20/22 garage which has an incredibly low ceiling, my truck hasn't a hope of getting in there. My wifes car, my sled, and some miscellaneous stuff stored in it. My wife's cousin wants to buy it and move it to their farm. I'm planning on building about 26x36 or so in its place. The actual size hasn't been set in stone yet, I change it every couple days. The red barn will be preserved, haven't yet found a use for it other than storing my tractor right now. There isn't any power to it which poses a small problem. There is also a 24x32 building at the rear of the yard that was used as a pig barn. It is on the way over, roof sagging madly off in all directions, walls pushing out, etc. The footing/grade beam it sits on seems solid enough so I'm really considering building a new shop on that foundation. It would be an awesome hobby shop/man cave. There's also a small "machine shed", and a 12x24 shed that I build on a floor and skids when we moved here so I had somewhere for my tools and excess stuff.

Its hard to beat having the space.

Morning everyone, I got an oil change appointment for 10am and then doing some shopping for some plasti-dip and paint to hopefully rid my truck of all the chrome

So sitting at Tim hortons waiting for my oil change to be finished, some guy waves us over to his table. Weird, but my girlfriend and I go over. He starts asking about our puppy tied up outside and then asks us if he can have him. We say no of course and then he begins to tell us that he was thinking about just taking him home. So now we are watching our puppy like a hawk and if this guy goes any where near our puppy, we are gonna have a problem. Now I don't know if he is joking but he sounded pretty serious, so we just ended up telling him where we got our puppy from hoping he won't try anything stupid. I hope everyone's day is going well

After a few very nice days winter is back.
I can`t even imagine living in a city or even a town.
If you do make as big as you possibly can, afterwards even that will be to small.

Would be a bad day in anybody's books, the day someone messes with my pooches. I love my dogs as much (or more) as my kids. Messing with my dogs would make me angry. Nobody likes me when I'm angry

Morris yer right about garage sizes, I want a steel building 40 X 80 ft but the township wont let me put up one that big.....
