Glad I'm not the only one thinking so Morris. I am going to ask our union and our human resources representitives what they think about the situation tomorrow morning. Problem with working nights is I get to work when everyone is gone and I leave as everyone is getting here so it takes me so much longer to hear the answers.
Collecting is a disease Curtis, ask me how I know, LOL
Should I ask
I've had this stuff forever. Can't ever seem to let stuff go. Why, I don't know. But it felt good to get rid of some of it

So I'm a little ticked off at my supervisor and our head training supervisor. My grandfather just passed away and due to some of my step cousins (grandfather was married into our family in 1990, I was born in 1991 so he is my grandpa) getting married in BC the funeral is being held on the 18th. Now I'm supposed to be starting my last level of our electrical training, its our competency based training (cbt), on the 18th. What it is about is all the electrical equipment that we deal with at Manitoba Hydro. The problem is that it pertains to the guys that work down south, for the guys that work in Gillam we never see this equipment and they expect us to read a manual and fix the equipment that we have never seen before. Ok, no biggy. I've pass three levels of this, now on my last one, not a big deal. But now because the funeral starts on the same day I'm supposed to start my training, I get the week off (because Monday is a holiday), I'm expected to finish this training in three weeks instead of the four that we originally have. Do you guys think thats fare? I kind of think I'm being punished for going to my grandpa's funeral, who I never got to say goodbye to! Sorry for the rant I just needed to get this off my back.
Well i'll say this Randy. There isn't too many 22 year old guys doing as well as you nor at the same level in their trade as you. Fair, doesn't seem like it to me. BUT, I for one know if there is anyone who can do the test in 3 weeks and still do well on it, it's you. No doubt in my mind
I'm terribly sorry to hear of your grandfathers passing bud. My condolances to you and your family during this rough time. Wish you a safe trip to BC.
A little snow coming down this morning, but manageable temps so I'll be happy. Have a good one everyone...
Thanks Sherwin

G'Day CLint
Thanks Curtis, but to be honest I actually had to redo the third level of our cbt due to the fact that I dragged my feet and took longer than I should have but my next go round I almost finished a week early, if it wasn't for a piece of equipment that I didn't like and it didn't like me I would have lol. I'm sure I'll be able to do it in the shorten time frame but that just means I can't screw up, which is the part that worries me. Also I'm not going out to BC, I'm not that close with my step relatives and the funeral in in Winkler, MB. So two weeks after being down in the Winnipeg area, I'm headed back.
Boom, last of the goodies gone on Kijiji!!
Sold 5 reels, 3 amps, 57" and 55" tv's!!
Neeeeeed More....... I'm thinking a few more and I'll have enough to upgrade to a Yamaha Digital amp in the Mancave and get rid of the Harmon Kardon AVR7000!!
Anyone know anything about fly fishing lures? I have some from the early to mid 1900's (from what i've researched) that I'd like to sell. Guy who bought the reels said i'd research a few of those before selling. 2 intparticular he said were worth abit. One with the eye's on the wood lure......Never fished in my life so I've no clue.....
I got those from a neighbor in mmmmm maybe 80-82 and he said they were old. Mr.Walters. Great guy. Used to blow glass sculptures ect ect. I was only in his garage a couple times cause it was too dangerous. Big kiln going whenever he was in there. Interesting fella. I looked around on-line at some of them but can't pinpoint a name. Sure with I had the boxes for them. Can't believe what just a box is going for.
At the Yami ride the other day, Jamie (holds the events with his truck/trailer) does alot of fly fishing. He's from BC. Showed me a few pics of his lures that he makes from scratch so it's hard to say if these were just one off's or not........
My sympathy for you and yours on the passing of your grandpa.
My dad passed last Nov. He was 93.
I fished with my Dad lots, he would have loved to see those.

I know how the wife feels with the recent passing of her mum, Don't think it'll ever get better so my heart goes out to anyone anyone who's had a loss recently.

Sounds like High winds, Lighting and more snow. Sounds about normal to me. Bring it on and get it out of your system Mr Winter. We are so ready.
Lightning, in the winter up there.... AWESOME!!
Why would the sirens go off with only a winter storm and 2" of snow?

Well the high wind will be knocking over trees on the power lines. And Lighting is so very rare up here at anytime.
Don't know how one would see it with it snowing sideways anyways.
