Evening Gents...its raining again, tornado watch out...bring on the snow...sorry, but I prefer it over this crap... I can bundle up for the cold if I want to go outside, put a fire in and be toasty if I want too...
What size lift you going for Randy? I've been toying with the idea of a lift in my Super Duty also but have to save up some pennies or sell the Cobra...
I want a 4.5" lift but I keep going back and forth between a leveling kit or 4.5" lift. I know the 4.5" lift will look better but then I'm gonna want 37" tires but I know that only makes the truck use more fuel and slower unless I regear which cost more money...
Evening everyone! Got some good news, my girlfriend and I have been pre-approved for that 2011 Ford Explorer that my girlfriend really wanted!! The guy at the dealership said the only reason we got approved is because I have excellent credit. Still waited on revenue Canada to send me the $6,000 they owe me and my snowmobile will be almost paid for. Should be paid for by the end of this year . First item on the list after my snowmobile is paid off is to buy a lift kit for my truck .
Wish I had your life with less bills. Try buying lift kits, rims, tires etc for two truck and then a Jeep Liberty. Good luck on your new purchase.

Yup, this is turning out to be one very weird summer.

I remember one of your early posts saying you were "Richie Rich"... Ain't no one going to sympathize with you for this stuff
I like the 4.5" lift Randy. It seems to really suit the shape of the truck. There's a 2011+ around here that has a 6". The truck is very nicely done, has everything perfectly in proportion I think. I'll try to sneak a pic of it next time I see it. Too often I see a truck with a large lift and tires that aren't the best fit or whatever...sometimes they have too large an offset on them with no flares, etc. Its hard to find the perfect combination.
Looks like a few tornado touchdowns last night. Seen some pics on the weather network of the tornados and some very large hail. Some looking to be 3" and worse. My apologies for the winter wishes, but.........

Better leave it alone then Randy, and leave the truck as is too, lol....... j/k
Me leaving my truck alone is like giving a puppy a big bone and telling him he cant chew on it lol.

This will be the be the second lift I have purchased, and second set of rims and tires for the second truck I've had. First lift kit I bought was $3300 and the lift kit for my Super Duty will be about $5000. And as Sherwin said, I also remember you calling yourself "Richie Rich" lol.

Yeah I like the 4.5" as well but the tailgate height on a stock F350 is about as tall as a 6" lifted F150 so I don't think I want to go too much higher. I think a 6" lift looks good, and that would be the tallest lift I would ever do but I think that its just a little too tall at that height. My plan is a 4.5" lift, 37x12.5R17s, some 17x9 rims, 4.30 gears and an electronic locker in the front axle and the smooth (not bolt on look) fender flares. Also I want to put a 5" straight pipe exhaust with a 6" tip . All with time
Good morning everyone, and a beauty of a day so far.
Hearts are a little heavy this am, a local girl was in S'toon with her little family and her 3 1/2 year old little man was hit and killed by a pickup. I don't know any other details, but the thought of losing a child is devastating. We take so much for granted without much thought of how quickly it can be taken away.
Here's to hoping its a dry week so we can get on top of this water laying around. Managed to get a lot of yard cut yesterday, in spots it was nearly 8" tall from being unable to cut in the wetness for so long.
Hope everyone had a good weekend and are rested and ready to rock the week!!
