While having some therapy sessions I was on a stretching table but it wasn`t long enough to really do any good........

Ya dont actually need a stretching machine though You can stretch in the comfort of your own home, very easy!

There`s a slight pull as your strapped down.
At home hanging by your feet it wouldn`t be as controlled, comfortible or effective I`m thinking.

Haha well dont hang from your feet then! You could probably lay on the floor and stretch out or something. It may not work quite as well, but it would still work!

Laying on the floor isn`t stretching your length out anything like a machine that actually exerts a gentle pull but it just might be better than nothing I suppose.

Well ya dont just lay there either ya gotta stretch out. Or better yet, stand and stretch out.

Feet should width apart, arms over your head then lean over to one side. Feels awesome!

All this exercising sounds like alot more pain than I`m already.........
Quite likely the lack of exercise is possibly why I have some of the pain.

Yeah, my father is like that too. Alot of folks are. Exercising creates pain, to try and heal pain. The start always sucks!

Sheldon, it is similar to the old Frankenstein Torture Machine. They place a holding strap under my shoulders and then a weird girdle like contraption around my lower waist and across my hips. I lean back against the table and then the table is moved from verticle to horizontal. Then pegs are placed under my arms and the upper strap is tied to the head of the table. The girdle is then attached to the pulling part of the machine.

When I started, I was at 25 pounds, at 10 degrees for 10 minutes. I am now at 89 pounds at 15 degrees for 20 minutes. Also, there is a heating and vibration pad under my back.

Does it work? Oh yeah. If I miss a session, I definately pay for it. Also, when I started, the DR was listed at 100%. I could barely walk ten feet without excruciating pain. Now after two months, the DR is at 75%. I can now walk around the block. It is exhausting, but at least I can now get out without fear of getting hit with the pain that was so bad that I would fall. The doctor told me that he doubts I will ever get under 75%. It looks like I may be disabled. All from a cabinet falling on me.

I landed on my left side with the cabinet hitting me on my right hip, side and shoulder, pinning me to the floor.

Sherm, it was years ago, at the first of September, I had a 500 pound file cabinet fall over on me and reinjuried it.
