main problem?? it was the 2003 6.0L of the snowmobile engines. introduced too fast without enough testing... i heard of a lot of crank problems, clutches eating belts and so on...

Ahh yeah, always unfortunate when a company has a problem like that.

Least they fixed them up though, and hopefully adressed the problems.

They fixed it alright.....they stopped making them after the second year. The 06's were not too bad though, like Sherm said they were hungry for belts and cranks.

The belt part a guy can live with, the cranks, not so easy to change on the side of the trails!

No not so much. That's why I didn't go with that model, I figure if I'm up near Creighton riding or Cut Beaver Lake and she breaks, it could a long night outdoors.

The 2006 900 was much improved with the four injector system. However, the vibration was terrible - hands and feet will go numb for some riders! Its too bad that 800 wasnt in the newer IQ chassis - it makes the Edge chassis feel very dated by comparisson. Its funny with that 900 - it had a little brother called the 700 (actually 750 or 755 cc) that was a much better engine! it was a one year wonder for the 2006 model year!
