Randy's parents were in town this weekend, just got done with a 2 week vacation. Anyhow, Randy's dad Bill was telling me that he was in the mountains somewhere in deep Southern CO or New Mexico last week, and there was this big bike rally and all the little peddlers were clogging up the 2 lane highway along some canyon country, I guess it was a very dangerous situation. So as the story goes, there was a guy in a 7.3 PSD dually hauling a big 30' horse trailer full of horses, and one of the bicyclists fell over (FELL OVER) on the highway right in front of this cowboy. Bill said the guy managed to snake the truck and trailer AROUND the bicyclists, to where the truck and trailer made a V and the bike rider was safe, the truck came to rest on one side of the biker, the trailer on the other.
The pipsqueak is lucky the guy in the PSD knew how to handle a trailer.

Man, that is scary, just to think, one of the horses could have been hurt.

They have rides out where I live every once in a while too. (little 2 lane country roads). I like to take my tractor and get in front of a bunch of them and slow them down. For some reason my tractor always seems to find a little more speed when they think about trying to pass me.

When we go camping in the mountians, we have to travel the Blue Ridge Parkway for a ways to get to the campground. Unless it raining on Sunday when we pull out, there are biker pedaling the parkway in groups of 5 or more. They will ride two or three abreast and ride right past the pull overs and overlooks while miles of traffic are behind them. Even my wife takes pleasure in the smoking I give them when I finally get enough room to pass. That was with the Superchips, You know I can't wait for my first DP smoking in the smokies ZX style in a few weeks.

It's kind of funny. Those folks who won't move over to let a car pass sure do get pissed when you slow them down. I like to drag my 12' shredder (non bat wing) that leaves them just a couple of feet of temptation on the edge of the FM roads, but takes up the whole gravel road.

You ever heard a song called "international Harvester" by Craig Morgan? I envision that song being written about you.

What drives me nuts the most is that they want all the RIGHTS as a motor vehicle, but they don't think they need to follow the same rules.

On the show "Speeders" on TRU TV last night I saw a cylist get a ticket for running 3 stop signs, then it gets better he had a warrant out for his arrest. Oh he was crying his eyes out.
bicycleists can NOT have the same rights as a MOTORIZED vehicle because
1. NO MOTOR!!
2.SLOW AS HELL
3.THEY SOULD FOLLOW THE RULES TO GET RESPECT AND THEN ASK FOR RIGHTS BUT SHOULD STILL FOLLOW THE RULES OR GET AN F-ING TICKET
or we could just smoke em out thats more fun!!!!
I live around amish country and they are pretty decent when theres about 8 or so they do straighten out to let vehicles pass. Every year a buggy or bicycle gets wacked by a car or truck and sometimes their killed. I guess thats in the back of their mind.
