This Is Crap

OK, so the OT threads were getting a bit out of hand, and I admit to being part of the problem. But a single OT thread is all we're allowed??? THAT SUCKS!!!

Today I have questions about power tools. Not for home improvement (I rent so that one doesn't happen). Not for carpentry. But for working on my truck. Is it strictly about my 99 CC 7.3 PSD? No. Related though? YES!!! Could we work on these trucks without power tools? Yep. For the most part. But we still need tools. Who wants to lift a ZF-6 or 4R100 without a jack? Any takers??? I'll bring popcorn and a GPS for the quickest route to the hospital.

So now everything that's not strictly about my HPOP, CPS, A/C, Tuner, tranny, etc. get's lumped here. Sorry, I'm not having it. Shortly you'll see a thread about tools, requesting recommendations. Why? Because my faithful 20yr old 9.6v Makita cordless screwgun is finally done for. While I was attempting to do the HUTCH mod on my truck. Yep, tools & trucks. Like PB & J.

I am posting this as a marker so I will Know where to start reading from!

Mark,
How dirty is the interior? leave it down and throw some laundry detergent on the seats and carpet, let dry in the sun! Free Steam cleaning.

that guy,
Mouseville (orlando) is about 12+ hrs from Rick.

Scott and Rick,
Bet $5 for me, and I will pay you back out of my winnings. (lets just see how honest these two are.)

Cris,
Dayyuuum thats hot. I dont care if it is a dry heatl, 109* is f-ing hot!

Kris,
you hungover today?

Midwest guys,
hope y'all dry out soon.

Its thunderstorming here high 80s low 90s. If the sun comes out after the rain, you'll be able to cut the humidity with a knife.

I agree, I just posted some OT stuff but made a truck connection with it

A OT sub forum would be nice here for us 7.3 guys but thats a little too much to be asking for.

I've got an OT about my lawn mower- Today I pulled the carb off our ancient Toro lawn mower because it wasn't running right. Got the carb cleaned out fine, but now the engine speed adjustment doesn't work and it seems like the mower is over-revving. I don't want to blow it up because I can't afford to buy a new one! The linkages appear to be correctly hooked up (put it back the way it was when I took it apart) but I'm thinking maybe by knocking all that crud loose I lost the ability to adjust the engine speed. I'm open to suggestions on what to try

Must have something to do with the governor, that asks it for more rpm under load. Just keep cutting the grass and don't stop for beer without turning it off first. Now was that first class help or what?

So being stubborn, I kept two of them so far.
Anyone looking for a 55 gallon drum that is clean?
I'm not looking to sell them, just give them away to somebody who wants to use them for fuel storage or make a burn barrel or whatever.
I live in the N. Seattle area, so if anyone is interested, shoot me a PM.
If you can't get rid of them stick them out in front of your shop with a sign that says For Sale $15. Someone will either pay you for them, or you'll show up one morning and they'll be gone. I've done that with pallets before. Stack them up with a sing that says free, they just sit there. Put a sign that says $2 each and they disappear.

This thread is confusing. Hoping to get to the PAA level someday but it looks . Maybe there will eventually be a change of and we will be allowed to get rowdy with the topics. I haven't looked at the other forums and maybe there is a bit more fun in here than "the other places"
