Rick, where are you in relation to the red stick? I've never heard of Grand Lake. You said 35 miles from Texas, yet close to I-10, that means I've been through there lots of times but it must be too small to have its own exit, or my memory is as addled as some peeps in the Club think my brain is.

Mark, we are directly south of Lake Charles. About 30 miles south of I-10, and Baton Rouge is to the east of us, like 3.5 hrs. No exit for Grand Lake, just a small community.
