GOD? Really?

it is believed he got this
>idea from the symbol which i saw in that picture you don't
>believe i ever saw.

I didn't say I didn't believe you had seen it. I said I've never seen it.

maybe i am wrong about the
>idea which i stated in which he borrowed it from the
>catholic church.

I believe you are.

but i know what i saw in the picture.

That's fine. I'll go along with that.

> and as far as professors bending the truth and covering up
>lies and you using the history channel as your source of
>information,

I didn't say I got my information from the History Channel did I? I don't believe I did.

ill take my college education, a guy with a PhD
>in history who does nothing but teach German history and
>Nazism,

What...

who has been to Germany and Europe many many times
>and talked with people who were actually a part of what
>happened,

A...

both with the evolution of the *****, the war, and
>the holocaust, and the writings which i have read of the men
>who were actually a part of what happened,

College...

as well as the
>brain which i was born with to use and to think freely and
>not to follow other people blindly-

Chip you have on your shoulder.

ill use those things to
>find what i believe is the truth any day of the week, before
>i believe anything i see on tv. i will also not blindly
>deny things that could possibly be true and completely
>discard them as false,

Is this what I did? I remember simply asking you to back up what you said. I didn't "call your mother a name".Such animosity Chris.

just because they don't fall in line
>with my religious or personal beliefs.

Oh, well, we're going to go after MY religious beliefs now huh? How infantile.

corlucci said it best
>when he said that religion is the antithesis of free
>thinking. i couldn't agree more.

It's possible that religion may be. I don't have religion. I have a relationship.

I've always prided myself on thinking for myself. Chris, calm down a little and stop taking things so personal. I can tell you that if you take everything said on this website personal, you're going to be an angry person.

I stated my belief on the origination of the swastika symbol based on my research. I do not believe that Hitler took it from the Catholic church. It's that simple. I only asked for an explanation as to why you believed it. I NEVER called you a liar.

I am old enough to know that 1- what you see on TV can be distorted. 2-What is taught at colleges can be distorted. 3- What you read can be distorted. 4-Societys and cultures around the world like to "bend" the past to represent the way they'd like to have it seen. 5- You MUST get your information from different sources, and when they don't agree, you find out why.

I'm stating that military history has been my hobby for roughly 30 years. It was Einstein who said if you study something for only 15 minutes a day, you'll soon become an expert in it. I've studied more than that, to be sure. But I learn new things all the time.

I'm sorry you seemed to have taken offense at my reply. However, this website is FULL of highly-intelligent people. If someone makes a statement as FACT, then they should be prepared to give explanations, examples, etc. That's all I'm saying.

Let's get back on track. No harm done I hope.

I apologize again if I offended you.

Chuck

LOL........that's a good one!

And you know.......if Jesus Christ DID rise on the third day (which I believe He did and which the evidence supports), that settles all arguments. Remember, truth denied is still truth......think about it.

GOD? Really?

Among those many other things, the swastika is also an ancient chinese symbol of good luck. That is of course the swastika as it was originally drawn, not the 45 degrees rotated version the ***** used.

GOD? Really?

Adolf Hitler was born in the Austria-Hungary Empire. His dad was an Austrian customs agent. The true nationality of the Hitler family is uncertain. Some people say Adolf was 1/4 jewish himself. I used to live in Austria and my wife is Austrian so I have a pretty good source of info. History books may agree or disagree.

GOD? Really?

YES, I do believe in God! God created man from the dust of the earth, and we will return to dust. The is the divinely inspired Word of God,and by the way, itis also an excellent book to read. Try it sometime friend. Gods will and His love is deeper thanmy finite mind can comprehend, but where my mind stops my faith kicks in. I did believe once and I still believe, I have been saved by the shed blood of Christ and remain with Him only by His love, grace and mercy. It is apponited for men once to die and then the judgement. Each of us will face the judgement wheather you believe on this earth or not. There WILL come a day when you will believe, when EVERY knee will kneel. Think of it this way, lets just say that I'm wrong (even though I know that I'm not) I will end up living a good moral life and loving and respecting others, but those who dont belive will end up living with evil and facing the hardships that come along with living an unmoral life all the days on this earth and then face the judgement. And by the way being morally correct will NOT save you. Once you die as a Christian from this earth you will close your eyes and wake up eith the Lord Jesus Christ. Living ETERNALLY with HIM. The alternative is living ETERNALLY in hell in a life of continuous torment and distress, wailing and gnashing of teeth. Think about it. Just remember wheather you currently believe or not, Jesus loves you and want to save those who are lost.

chuck,
i don't mean to come off as an arrogant college guy to you, im just sticking to my guns on this. i like how you gave credit to the law for pointing out the fact that the **** swatstkia is rotated, when i already explained that earlier. that goes in line with blindly denying things that occur which i also stated earlier. and there's no need to make a big hoopla over me explaining my sources and how i think they are genuine and authorative. and when you said you love the history channel after you make a bunch of statements about history, that is implying you got your information from the history channel and thats your reference for the material which you presented. i am also sorry if i personally attacked you or offended you, i never meant that. it is hard to have a spirited debate or anything of the sort on here because you can't communicate body language or facial expressions that well. in any case, we got ourselves way off topic, this forum was meant for religion and discussing God, not for hitler the ***** and the swatstika. no hard feelings chuck

Very interesting Brett. I had heard this one as well, about the customs agent. I DO NOT claim to be an expert on Hitler. Just that I've studied a great deal about him during the course of pursuing military history.

Your wife being from Austria would definitely give you access to information others may not. Since she lived there I would tend to believe her. Not just because of that, but because she would have no interest in changing the past.

History books often conflict that's why it's best to study alot and check sources.

Interestingly enough, I have almost weekly contact with 3 German citizens because of the nature of my business, and have cultivated friendships with them. Talking about Hitler is practically verboten. (understandably enough) I don't want to insult them, so I don't bring up military history.

Thanks for the info!

Chuck

Good, I like a person with convictions.

i like how you
>gave credit to the law for pointing out the fact that the
>**** swatstkia is rotated, when i already explained that
>earlier.

I believe you stated that the emblem you were speaking of was triangular. Maybe I misunderstood what you meant.

that goes in line with blindly denying things that
>occur which i also stated earlier.

Maybe I should have worded my reply better. My bad.

and there's no need to
>make a big hoopla over me explaining my sources and how i
>think they are genuine and authorative.

It's simple. You go with what you know.I have no doubt that those are your convictions. I'm saying what you're saying then--be open minded enough to realize what you've been taught MAY have been tampered with to make someone else look good or bad in light of modern culture.

and when you said
>you love the history channel after you make a bunch of
>statements about history, that is implying you got your
>information from the history channel and thats your
>reference for the material which you presented.

No, Fordzgal stated her info was from the History Channel. I merely offered that I enjoy watching it!

i am also
>sorry if i personally attacked you or offended you, i never
>meant that.

As I stated earlier, I could have worded my reply better. I apologize for that.

it is hard to have a spirited debate or
>anything of the sort on here because you can't communicate
>body language or facial expressions that well.

You are DEAD right.I had commented on that before in another post, when I was being facetious and someone got all bent out of shape about it. Plus, I feel people will say things in a forum they would never say in person. That's just the nature of the beast.

>in any case, we got ourselves way off topic, this forum was

I'm glad there are no hard feelings. I hate getting off on the wrong foot and judging from your posts, you have alot of good ideas and thoughts. Especially the politcal one you commented on. We are in almost total agreement there.

Now, back to topic before the others tell us to "get a room". LOL
