Ever since I first deacovered they made an actual 4-door 1970's model, I've always dreamed of getting my hands on one and turning it into a resto-mod show truck. Definitely converting it to 4x4, if not equipped, throwing a mild 3-6" lift and a healthy engine under the hood for proper motivation. I've never seen one in real life and usually all the actual full-size 4doors are turned into giant mud trucks or have been scrapped, rotted away, forgotten, etc. I'm not 100% sure but mainly the ones I've seen were made for like the railroad industry.

Um, I think your looking for a crew cab not a supercab. However, they were made as standard trucks and are definitely available. Check out the crew cab thread.
ok guys so I have a 78 super cab lifted on 36 iroks, I know nothing big but I have successfully transplanted a 429 into it, ( I bought the truck with out motor or trans in it, was told a 460 was in it prior to me purchasing the truck however previous owner had already gutted the truck so had to start from scratch) so my question is this I will be running headers on it but I cant figure out how to mount the z bracket for the clutch so when I get my headers I make it move on its own power can someone help me with this issue. the truck was originally a manual so I have that going for me just need to figure out how to put it together lol... seeing as I wasn't the one that took it apart.... lol thanks guys... by the was super cab is the only way to go especially if its a camper special with the fold down bed for a back seat
Picked her up for a song! First Ford and I'm hooked. 460, aluminum intake. All new cooling system. Installing new rear coilover shocks and replacing bushings (they all look like 'mellows in a s'more). A bit of play in the steering that I'll have to figure out but the steering pump looks new. Excited to fit her into my budget!
Here's my '75 Trailer Special with a 390, doesn't look like much but runs & drives. 1st order of business is water pump, aluminum radiator & electric fan, then a receiver hitch so I can tow the 1967 camper behind it during the Southeast VA summer without worrying about going up through the blue ridge mountains
Recently picked up this 1979 F250 Supercab long bed 2WD 460.... hasnt been on the road in a number of years.... thinking STORNGLY about taking that cap off haha....
Found this 74 last year in a barn, now 2 owner. Had sat for 20 years, 30 minutes of tinkering and it drove the 3 miles home(no brakes yikes good it was 11pm and in the country.)
Doing a complete 78 front end upgrade. Brakes, suspension(5" lift) swaybars, and 78 grill with round headllight conversion, along with 38gal. main tank.
