Thanks. Looked for years after my family let our one owner 350 4x4 go. Gave up and then this one showed up out of nowhere when I wasn't looking. I call it my midlife crisis.
Forgot to say the 74 F250 is not white. When we pull it from its present location and buff it out it will again be Paint code Pastel Lime. Interior is that Ivy Green Ford loved to use.
Actually someone has already contacted me about them so you'd be second in line once we actually get the vehicle back home. The lady has to find the title and she doesn't want to let it go until she does that which is fine with me I don't really want to push her. The other thing is I would really like to trade these for a set of the type of Threes if anybody has a set I've got it from that already put on the 79 and the 78 is going to need a set I have those already so if I could find one more trade this out that would be great
Here is my Dad's 77 , he ordered it new in 76 and was painted in 86 , it had a 400 but we swapped it out for a 460 in 1980. Other than that it is still original. The seats and carpets have been under cover since new and look like they were put in yesterday. After 40 years he decided he wanted me to have it now rather than later. I was 7 when we seen it on the auto carrier at our dealer and it started a passion for these trucks that still runs today. I built a few of these trucks for myself and a few for others all driven by this 77F150. It hadn't left the garage in 3 years (Dad is now 79) till last week. Dropped in a battery and she fired right up then I drove it the 150 miles to my home without a issue. She will now be babied the way he babied it but will also see a lot of new miles every chance I get.
Thanks for the comments guys, the old girl means a lot to me, I still can't believe I own it now. Here is the interior, the seats and carpets are completely original and are mint, not so much as a tear or stain. He use to wax the dash on a regular bases as well as wax the inside of the box. Check out the 8 track under the dash, still works perfect too. As far as the 2 hood visors, he wanted to small one off but didn't want to repaint the hood because of the 4 holes. I will look after that over the winter.
[QUOTE=GIGGER;16574609]OMG that think is almost like new, Dad knows how to preserve things huh
I've never seen a steering wheel spinner like that before, LOOKS LIKE SPAM ON THE BLUE WORD .... dont clic on it[/QUO
Most people had no idea the truck had carpet, that's how well he had them covered. I've been telling him for years to uncover them and enjoy them because when I get it I am going to show them off. Had it home 10 minutes and out come all the layers down to the factory 1 piece mat. Dad called later that night and asked if I threw out his ugly mats yet, he knew they were toast.
The spinner is the only one like it I have ever seen, he had it on his 73 then this one. works better than the ball type too.
