2006 Wheels and Tires

Has anyone tried to put stock tires and wheels from a 2006 LT 265-70-17 on a 1999 F250? I had a chance to buy a set but the rear wheels seemed to hit a bracket on the rear? Tire guy said they would not go on?

Offset is too great. you can do 99-04 wheels, but in 05 they went to a greater offset and they will not work correctly without spacers.

Brandon, actually it was 05 when the offset was changed.

It's also for 2wd trucks. It's easier if you have a 99-04 2wd to fit an 05 and up wheel without spacers. Still, the rims sit pretty far inside the wheel well. Personally, I would never use spacers on these trucks. I've watch first hand as a Chevy truck running wheel spacers had one shear while driving down the road at 45 mph. It wasn't pretty.

Wheel spacers are bad, I wouldn't use them on any vehicle, but definatly not on a super duty.
