I see that I can leave for a couple days on business and come back to a boiling over pot of gumbo, haha.
For the record, the first head gasket issue was a pinched unit, therefore was covered under warranty. However the second gasket was a failure plain and simple. After the second head gasket repair the truck had been flagged, or so Im told, by the tech for removal of emissions equipment.
If you dont believe I own the truck then so be it. Im not here to prove anything other then what I know works, bottom line. I talked with the FoMoCo rep and he advised me to NOT hand out vehicle VIN numbers to anyone not authorized by Ford to view oasis reports. So for all the doubters, guess you'll just have to continue to disspute my onwing of the truck.
I have put some serious miles on this truck, dont believe it either if you feel obligated not to. Im a horse transporter, driving all over the west coast is what i do, so naturally miles add up quickly unfortunately.
For the record also, I think I may have experienced regen cycles once before the DPF was removed. Honestly I could never tell the diffrence between regens and the elevated idle engine warm-ups. Say what you want but thats just been my experiences.
Monsterbaby, the only reason you dont like me is because I completely disagreed with you on your BTS thread, along with the other hundreds of users. So your petty name calling and inappropriate behavior is unappreciated and also against FTE forum guidelines. Get over it brother, neither of us is going anywhere, so we might as well get along.
Oh and by the way, I have never created an album before so if its taking longer then then expected, sorry but Im not as qualified as the rest of the computer geniuses on here

Cowboy,
My guess would be the engine was flagged by the Dealer to be sure there is a fix, before it needs to be replaced a fourth time; because the Lemon Law requires a max of four tries to cure the same complaint. That Dealer may have a high cost area for engines, and needs to make certain the truck is repaired right, or 1) risk Lemon status, or 2) the high warranty cost items he has will precipitate an audit. Audits are expensive!
Part of my career with MBNA, and AMC was auditing warranty at dealers too high in certain repair catagories. I also worked as a consultant to BMW USA auditing Dealers in New Jersery and New York. The audits resulted in $250,000 debits average.
"just one of you prove that all or even most of, oh heck even a few of the issues with the 6.0L wasn't caused by fords modifications (I can giveone proof right off the bad, the injector issues early on were cured by a reprograming of FORDS engine managment programing)"
I guess you really have to be reading between the lines to come to the conclusion that this proves anything.
Oh and by the way, I have never created an album before so if its taking longer then then expected, sorry but Im not as qualified as the rest of the computer geniuses on here

The process for signing up as a FTE member is more difficult than uploading pics for a gallery on FTE, if you are having difficulties ask questions. I am sure someone will give you step-by-step instructions on how to upload a couple pics of your truck(s). The fact that you have not created a gallery upon many requests...well thats pure lazyness . But if you would rather just come back to this thread and "stir the pot" then well do so my friend....no harm done here....
Also...what the heck is the PCM supposed to "think" now??? Do I regen? Do I not regen? Wait...does the PCM even know the dpf is missing? Who re-programmed the PCM to know that the dpf is missing? See where I am going with this? The PCM...does not have the ability to sense if the dpf is there or not. If it is programmed to believe the dpf is there, then by all means that is what it is going to believe...until told otherwise in a re-flash program. So...according to this Owner...he never installed a third party program. Therefore the PCM is in an OEM state, so the 6.4L PSD does not have the ability to function as intended. What is affected?
The PCM doesn't think. It doesn't magically decide that a regen is needed. Sensors in the DPF tell the PCM when a regen is necessary.

AFAIK there is also some sort of a drive cycle trigger for the regenerations, word has it that this is the one that causes the grief if the DPF is removed.
