I went in for an oil change and service and the tech had said "I see your trucks been flagged by the dealer, whats that about" So straight to the service managers office I went. They tried to void my entire warranty, were they should only have voided my powertrain warranty. Im waiting for the Ford Tech to call me and let me know what the investigation yeilds.

Actually, I believe that removing an emission componet DF could possible allow Ford to refuse claims for the exhaust system - maybe -. Then they would have to prove the deletion is responsible for a current drive line failure.

Voiding a New Vehicle Warranty is not as easy as "flagging" the truck, it is a legal document on file with the Federal Goverment. The other modifications you have done could make a case for claim refusal. The "flagging" is done by the Dealer to cover his rear if a question arises from Ford. This Dealer may have several high expense Warranty catagories, and he is protecting his $$.

The Ford Field Rep, can cause the Dealer to hold certain repairs for his review and approval. The only blanket warranty void would be due to a salvage title.

How many of you buy the extra warranty on a DVD player at walmart?
The extended "warranties" are actually service contracts, that may or may not mirrior the original factory warranty.

What was the final outcome powerstroked162? You said you were fighting it and a rep or something was coming to deal with it. Surely you would have at least had enough time to get that cleared up even if you haven't had time to get pics or am I completly wrong?

I thought I already posted that the rep wasn't able to regain my powertrain warranty. I signed the paper saying if I modded the trucks exhaust in anyway that my warranty would be nul and void. I knew it but i wanted to se where it was gonna go. Irregardless, I haven't been on my computer for awhile now, so the pics are still on hold. I have them ready to go, but I cant post them till i get home.

trucks still runnin strong tho while the 7.3 has developed a sickness. Thinkin a valve train issue i.e., a bent pushrod or broken rocker arm.

I dont think he even has a 6.4... I call B.S.

Why wouldnt he share his vin with a moderator so they could check and see if his truck was flagged for him or not? Even the mods think it BS,they should lock this thread. He is pulling everyone's chain on this one fella's.

Why wont you give the vin to the moderator? You think he's gonna do something with it... Thats funny and proves that you DONT have a 6.4,I wanted you to post some pics of your airbag setup and then you took it out of your sig.. Why? Are you still haveing problems posting pics of your rig? Why?

I am not taking sides here but GMtoford doesn't have pics of his rig either. But I am not going to call BS on him owning one, just because he doesn't have an album. My pics of mine are in the album marked Explorer.
Sometimes taking pics is not all that important. There is other stuff going on in life than sitting in front of the computer trying to figure out why you can't post pics when you have windows Vista.
Just my $.02 worth Canadian. Oh hey its almost par now. $.98 C to $1.00 US

Question What year is it again?

I'm a little late to the thread, but "flagged" keeps nagging at me everytime I come into the forum - been wondering wtf more & more.

What year model is your truck and when did you buy it?
