Ask youself why someone would take a new $40-$50K F-450, and basically mod it in a way that voids the powertrain warrany and not to mention a couple of blown headgaskets. He has been asked to post pics.....um how hard is it to post pics of your truck? I have not yet seen one pic of his big bad 7.3 or his 6.4....what gives. The Moderator has good reason to question his integrity.

Becuase he can! It seems Steve can afford it, he likes to do it, so he does! If Steve is making this all up he spends hours researching what equipment can be added and what kind of power it makes. On his OBS his mods including the ones added since I have met his here match exactly to the kind of HP and Torque numbers he should be seeing with those added mods. I disagree with Steve all the time just check out the OBS Forum but that doesn't mean I don't think he own the two truck he says he has.

Those who have responded to my post may not be the ones who thinks Steve is lying (but may be you are) but the the phrase "if he even has the truck" has come up more than once.

This thread took a turn for the worst at post 8 and 9. Steve came here talking about his warranty being voided. He knew it could happen but was upset about the way it was handled by Ford. They didn't tell him anything and tried to viod his entire warrantee.

Steve my advice to you is give these guys your VIN to shut them up! This is the internet. Shoot maybe half these guys here don't really have a brand new 08.

If you wonder why I asked for his Vin in confidential, that would have saved us 2 locked threads. I am not here to deny or support what has been done to the truck. If he would have submitted the Vin it would have helped keep the flames down on the thread. So if powerstroked162 feels abused, it is under his own terms.

If you keep the discussion civil I leave it open. No BS for me to ask for a Vin, many discussions have turned out well from doing so.

So now we have to give the moderators VIN # before we can post info about our truck for fear that people will think we are lying. Thats crazy. And thats exactly what your saying. This thread was very civil until post 8 and 9 where others started calling this thread fishy, which means they are calling Steve a liar, pure and simple thats what those statements mean! so if your talking civility on Steve part he has nothing to worry about. The other's (with a few exceptions) are the one who should have the finger pointed at. Sure there has been no name calling but they have implied Steve is a liar many times.

Now I am going on a few days vacation so unless I find some internet there I will either come back to plenty of replies to respond to or this thread will be locked down. either way see you all in a few days.

Not one single person is required to provide a Vin. If powerstroked162 would have provided his Vin on the first thread he started we would not be on the third thread he has opened.

If you want help I am always available. I could have backed his story in confidential, that choice was his.

Keep it on topic or I will.

Cowboy Steve has two very nice trucks, two trucks to be very proud of and it sounds like his is proud of them but..........all this money and time spent on them plus time spent on FTE and still no user gallery? why? A proud truck owner should show off his prized possesions. I dont have the time and money to mod my truck like he has but atleast I have pics of my truck that I am very proud of. I am not saying he is a lier but he has just had some pretty outrageous posts where it is more or less seems like he is bragging with no proof to back it up. I just want to see pics of his trucks dam it! lol

Absolutely agree. He seems to only add enough to his "remarkable" story to keep the threads going, I have come to believe that he enjoys the speculation and controversy.
I am not saying he is lying, I am saying I am having a harder and harder time believing it all.

Magnusson warranty act is irrelevant then.

For power mods or removing whole systems it is irrelevant anyway. AFASIK MM is for replacement parts that meet or exceeds OEM specs. So I have know idea how chipping a truck would qualify.

I do not have a 6.4

What a worthless thread! Cowboy I hope you get your warranty worked out, they cannot void the entire warranty. It must be the way he writes that gets people upset because he hasn't claimed to have done anything to his truck that dozens of people on this site and others have done. I would like to see pictures, but only because I would like to see the truck not because I don't think he has it.

I agree. We all need to just let his topics fall off and not reply until he can prove himself. I think he has a 1997 like says, but not an 08'. Oh and by the way I just took delivery on my 2010 f-450 and it has that new CAT diesel that everybody has wanting for years!!!! It's awsome!!! I would post pics, but my camera just broke and I don't know when I can replace it.

Ok and this is different than navistar refusing to pay what ford claims is their portion of warranty issues how? I mean lets see navistar build and designed the 6.0 (VT365) to operate at 195hp under 2400rpm, ford then modifies the fuel system to run at closer to 300hp (almost double) and a lot higher redline rpm and expects navistar to continue to pay warranty, while ford denies claims based on as little as 10hp increase and more effiencent setups that actually reduce bad things like egts.

Ok, name one of those dozens that;

Needs his $40,000 plus 2008 Ford Super Duty truck for his business to the tune of 16,000 plus miles already, yet monkeys around with it like its a toy.

Removed the DPF thoasands of miles ago and never once went into regeneration hell.

Been back to the Ford store twice for head gasket replacement stating the gaskets were pinched or installed incorrectly yet now they are voiding his warranty.

Lists a tuner as one of his many mods on his truck but then when asked says its never been on the truck.

Multiple times has stated pictures and videos are coming, yet ASFAIK they have not been posted despite making 500 posts since end of July even with time off on a FTE "vacation".
