yeah, it pretty much has, until between Dec.-Feb. Besides that, I already have all the info I need, and thats what I started this for in the first place.
yah really how is that thing goin man? im plannin on pullin the engine and putting it on a stand and strippin it painting it and replacing all the seals etc etc and gettin some detailing pieces like chrome valve cover and airfilter stripping the engine bay and painting it gloss black like i did already over all the other dirt that was in there but it looks alright...ill get pics next spring after its as good as it can get...until i drive it for 1 year and get it all performance built
well, so far I have the lift, wheels and tires installed, as well as a new exhaust setup. Next will be Yukon 4.09 front and 4.11 rear gears, a Power Lock LSD in the front, and a Lock Rite in the rear, along with all new Yukon axle shafts, bearings, seals, and Spicer U-Joints. After that $1350 gets blown, I will be buying a running "junk" engine from a buddy of mine for $125. He swapped in a 460, and doesn't want it. I am going to start on the engine build this winter. I will be using a propane kit from www.gotpropane.com, and hopefully the FSPP aluminum big block six head when they come out with at the end of the year. I am wanting to use 4.050" flat top pistons from a 390 to raise my compression ratio up around 13:1. Propane is 100-110 octane, so that will be no biggie. Just have to wait and see what the head will handle. The main reason I am waiting until the end of the year is because I am going back to school at LTI now, and don't have the cashflow I had before, lol. I will be done in Feb. and should start out around $50k a year. At any rate, I will keep ya'll informed on the buildup. Also, there is a slight possibility of a turbo being added at some point, although most likely not initially, in this build.
If I do go turbo, I'll have to put in diffrent pistons to actually lower the comp. ratio a lil, bit, otherwise my head will go bye bye, and all the $$$ I put into it will as well.
well im hopefully gonna start a job soon...sadly its mcdonalds but hey i need the money and it'll help me get my truck goin for next year when i turn 16
ok so i wasn't hired at mcdonalds cuz im 15 but they would have if i applied during the summer and not fall...and was not able to pull and replace gaskets and paint during this winter...i did get some new pics up on cardomain http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2271446 i would have put them on here as well but im having trouble uploading them
