I am relatively new to the forums but have spent the last few months hanging out in the forum for 48-56 Ford Pickups after purchasing a 1955 F-100 last summer. The 55 is licensed and drive-able and plans are for me to make it a daily driver type as I work on it over the upcoming months and years. This is my first project of this type so it is a learning experience. Hoping to attend some car shows, cruise nights, etc. this year.
Welcome to the Missouri FTE forums, we also have a mothly chat and BS forum, so feel free to stop on by there too.
We are a sort of small group spread all over the map in Mo and of varying ages and vehicle type. But Ford trucks is one thing we all have in common for sure no matter the year.
Hey guys,
My name is Ryan. I live in Hollister/Branson which is south of Springfield 35 miles or so. I have an 83 F100 V6 3.8 I'm working on making a daily drive. Hope to get her going in April but we will see. I have a new baby she was born 3/15 so I've not had lots of time to work on it but slowly getting her done. Working on the interior now got the dash pulled apart and painted.
hello my name is wayne and i just got a 1965 ford F250 camper special. i have been wanting an old truck to tinker with. i love the older trucks.
i needed something to work on when i am able. i am 45 yrs old and in 2007 i lost my 14 yr old son to cancer.he was our only child.in 2010 i was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and was told i had 6 months to live with or without chemo.so i started doing chemo every 3 weeks and im still alive so far. im going into my 3rd yr of chemo. i live day to day because i never know what tomorrow will bring. when i was first diagnosed with cancer i asked the drs if i would ever be able to have anymore children they told me no. i would never be able to because of the chemo im doing.well they were wrong again we have a 9 month old little girl. they said it was miracle it wasn't supposed to be possible. she looks just like her brother that past away. i usually have a week or so out of the month that im not too sick to do anything and i cant stand to sit around and do nothing when i feel ok so i would like to fix this old truck up and leave it for my daughter when she grows up. i am pretty good with artwork and i have been learning to use an airbrush for that so hopefully i can do something on this old truck.so i will probably be buggin yall before too long about this truck. im goin this weekend to check it out i have seen it before but i didn't check it out like it was mine. now that its mine i got to see what all i need to get it up and going. i know it needs a radiator and a paint job but thats about all i know.i was told the motor was a 400 or somthin to do with a 4 i didnt know ford made a 400? ok i will shut up now and i will let you know what i got to work with after i get back. i apreciate having somewhere to go and get info for this project. thanks
