6.0 Engine Horrible
That way newbies would have to at least pretend that they read the guidelines before being allowed to post.
But hey, I am obviously not a computer guy....just a thought.
....but no-one reads that stuff, or even remembers it was there. I'm not going to spend more time coding for something that people won't read. The fact of the matter is humans are lazy and won't read (or can't).
Look at how many people are suckered each day on vehicle leases and financing because they don't read the contract they sign. Heck, I didn't read all the paperwork on my last mortgage.
Thought I better get one idea in before Armageddon. If you know what I mean?
But that's it...fullfilled my quota for the week...no more good ideas from me.
But you can disregard this post since Ford told you it can't happen.
I don't remember what year your truck is, but it has not happened since they #1) repaired the reverse planetary pins that this truck is not subject to the recall on, and #2) they installed new case and snap ring and who knows what else that this truck is not subject to a recall on. So maybe it has something to do with the recall on the Torqshifts that probably does not apply to your truck.
You are the third "that it hasn't happened to" according to Ford.
Mine is a F350 6.0L CC (Sept 03 build date)
It happened 7 times from 10,000 odometer to 26,000 odometer. Service Department Shop Foreman and Ford Engineers last week can't find anything in the codes. All of these highspeed unexpected downshifts happened after FMC reflashed my truck.
Not one problem the first 10,000 miles I put on it.
Just keep telling yourself "I love my truck, I love my truck", sooner or later it will sink in. At least that's what I keep telling myself. lol
but am heading out soon with trailer, will report later if I make it back. It's raining here and I am not going to take a chance using Tow/Haul today. I am considering a 6-speed manual buyback if we can work something out. It will have to be an order according to the Dealership Owner I deal with. Not much trust in this one. My wife won't ride in the truck if we go into the mountains. Her mom & dad have put me on notice, "don't kill our daughter" and I am getting close to 60, the stress will probably stop my heart and kill me first
