If this isn't just a drive by troll I would have to think that somewhere someone is abusing this vehicle.
80,000 miles in a short period of time is demanding but the truck should hold up as long as extreme mileage maintainance is followed to the letter. The miles are even more extraordinary when you consider how many times (cumulative days) this pup has been in the shop to fix all of these problems. Hmmmm.
Boy, 14 injectors? All from the same location? From all locations? All warranty?
Under these extreme conditions I would think someone wanting to take care of their heavily used work truck would have to change the oil / filter every 5 - 7 days. Syn or dino...no matter. And at various points around the country. Yes...I wonder what kind of oil he uses and is it the same...all the time...and is the fill level the same...every time?
As a side note, I know (2) people that make their living hauling as he does but more in industrial applications than automotive. They would go broke @ 65 MPH
Firetail, very distressing to read your post, and I have to agree an isolated incident at best. But we do need way more info. than you have posted. If you could provide your VIN# we could run an OASIS and post it to see the date/mileage/repair history of this truck. That would also buy you some credibility with the FTE regulars. It should be easy for you to see why we may suspect a troll here.

Yes, the VIN of the vehicle would be extremely helpful
You guy's don't believe all this do you? Come on people. He say's numerous drivers and all the trucks are 2005 PSD's, they have gone through injectors, don't pull, etc, etc. He's trying to start something and everyone is buying it. He's a new user, consider the source. What are the odds, that so many new 2005 PSD, have so many issues? Let me start this thread going the other way. I have a 2004, Dually, 4X4, crew cab, LWB, Lariat, that just hit 16k miles and not one problem other than a bad sensor that was replaced 3 months ago, and they replaced the reverse planetary gear, not because it needed it, but for the recall. I got top notch service and a rental car, my truck runs awesome. It pulls like a 12 legged mule on steroids (got that from another poster), and is bone stock. I wouldn't trade in my truck for anything. I love my truck and get a lot of compliments. Firetail, go buy a Chevy or a Dodge (you probably allready have one).
I have early 03 6.0 PSD with 18,000 miles and no injector problems yet, pull a toy hauler and smokes chebys and dogs......I LOVE MY PSD,I LOVE MY PSD, I LOVE MY PSD, I LOVE MY PSD...............
The 2005 6.0 diesel engine is terrible. If you plan on towing with it you should consider something else. We have numerous drivers who have had nothing but problems. Poor gas mileage, no towing power up a grade, goes thru injectjors, needs to be replaced often. I have 80,000 miles, have been thru 14 injectors, one engine at 50,000 miles, lost left front wheel due to bad bearings and grease, 30,000 miles bearings and grease bad again. Transmission shifts poorly, vibration in drive train, and vibration in rear end that Ford says I have to live with. This truck is a poor excuse for a work truck. Ford does nothing.
Next time you are in Houston look me up. I'll give you $,5000.00 for your entire collection of 05 PSD's. If they look good, I might give you $5,000.00 each.

I myself had my stock 2003 6.0 engine replaced at 55000 km's due to poor crankshaft tolerance that resulted in the main belt continually fraying, (the belt was replaced three different times over a 3 month period.) Didn't get my truck back from Ford dealership for over two weeks until a new '03 engine was brought in from the USA.
Sorry to hear about your problems.
Maybe I'm just a bit slower thinkin than most, but I am however, a little confused by your post. You said " we have numerous drivers..." Are you saying that a company you own or belong to, has numerous 6.0's, having injectors replaced, no towing power up grades, etc. or are you telling us that numerous drivers are driving the same truck with these problems?
Just askin because I'm struggling to understand how numerous 2005's with 6.0's are having injector problems as well as towing problems up grades.
