I know what you mean. Even the stock truck is such a joy to drive, it's more addictive than crack! Having mine tied up would be tough
Have they told you how long it will take them?
I dont know yet, actually. I talked to the service manager yesterday; the engine is supposed to be in parts by Friday. Im getting new brake rotors and fluid changes for the diffs and transmission while im at it. I *think* I should have the truck back before next weekend.
Me and Jen went fourwheeling today in queens gap...I had to pull the trailer with my dads old bronco The poor 351 in it is shot, and the 3 speed C-6 doesnt help. It just feels awkward waiting for 4 gear changes and only getting two Ive been driving an SD ever since Ive had my drivers license....anything else is just wierd.

Hindsight is always 20-20. It was the responsibility of the guy that sold it to him to caution him about the use of the product. That said, had we know we would have warned him that the mix was volitile.
Well, he did advise me not to mix it stronger than 50/50. He didnt describe the consequences but he did advise that. I didnt *intentionally* put it that strong...it was just sort of a "thing" that happened. I got to the track and figured that i had about 5 gallons of 20/80 in the tank, and just sort of head figured that 2.5 gallons of pure methanol would make it around 50/50. When i blew it up and recalculated, it turned out too strong. Good calculations would have paid off, however i was too anxious to get out on the track to bother

I'm gonna give you a piece of friendly advice. Don't try to utalize every ounce of horsepower that these people sell. Leave yourself a 50% safety margin to start and gradually work up. Approach maximums carefully, especially when using combonations of power adders. The people who sell these products hype them. BE LEARY!
If he is like me, as soon as he realizes he can't sleep, he will go back out and work until he is done or he falls asleep in the truck.
I do the same thing. When i got my turbo-back, i decided i should wait until the next day to install it. At about 2 am that night, i couldnt wait any longer, so i went to start. About the time i got the sawzall good and going on the downpipe, the resonating vibrations woke up everyone in the house, and my girlfriend and mom found their way to the garage door to scream and rave at me

im more the type to get half way done, get tired, and start "riggin" it to get done and go play. this has NEVER worked out in the past, so my COA is to just call it quits for the day when i start thinkin about short-cuts
fabrication is a sickness.....the symtoms can kill u...and ur motor...
hahaha when my family sees me in my shop w/ the sparks flyin, they all just shake their heads and keep drivin....so i understand the feeling
im always fab'in something. i dont believe in spendin $$ on somethin i can enjoy makin on my own
I always try to fabricate it myself first. Sometimes I save money but mostly I like the feeling when folks ask me where I got It and I get to tell them I made it by hand.
