Jeb, there is a percentage, (approximately 1% to 2%) who are going to default on the loans. There are also (from my experience as the former GM of a new car dealership) people who get buyer's remorse after owning the truck a while.
The multiple process for getting the defective trucks repaired or replaced is designed to weed these people out.
Don't you understand that quoting posts from other forums and threads proves nothing? The people that denied these claims know these people and the details of their problems better than we will ever know. Are the claims legit? Are these people even telling the truth in their posts? Were claims actually made? Do you know? I doubt it. Did you post these yourself under another user name? We see this all the time when people change their name but their style never changes.
I would be ashamed to do searches and come up with more unsubtantiated
documentation in a futile effort to win an argument.
Every document posted by individuals on the web is suspect. The more trash they post, the less creditability they have.
I agree with you Choctaw I find it hard for any dealership to give a customer a full refund sinc ethey are having some many problems with a vehicle it is up to the manufacturer. I mean you were a gm did you ever do it? I will tell you anything you want to know about my case. Just ask ? Everything is ligit here I came to this forum because I thought I would find answers of the truth about how to deal with this truck issue because it stress me out..
Must have had something to do with their legal position. There is a Federal Law that gives you the right to rescind any deal for 3 days.
Did you get another PSD?
What?! Come on Bob... Of course I did..from another dealer of course...getting ready to turn 1k miles. 350 4x4 PSD SC/SB 5SPD Lariat

You are in the right place for help.
When I was a GM, I never gave away anything. I have swapped cars with people who were dissatisfied before they put more than a couple hundred miles on them. I then sold the unit at cost before it could get much age on it.
From what I have read about your approach to these problems, you appear to be doing the right thing. If I could give advice to anyone, I would say "don't procrastinate". I would with a positive attitude and a friendly manner, contact the necessary people each and every day that they promised me something was supposed to happen. I would in this manner push the process and shorten the time frame to see the issue resolved. This is the formula I have seen succeed in the past.
Good luck.
There are several on this forum that have got new trucks. If you have a question or need advise, ask. If you don't get an adequate answer, e-mail me. I will try to help.
You always seem to smack this durn nail on the head. Well put post above!!!! I agree with you and first ford about saying it is hard to find a good servicing / qualified 6.0 mechanic to complete the repairs. I am sure they are out there but i can't seem to locate one. I fill that this may be half, or over half of my battle / prob. O'well we will see.
It is a larger problem than most think.
If these dealerships in question had well trained, techs on the 6.0
Many of the reoccurring issues would not happen, hence the bummed and mad customers. If it goes in once and fixes the issue, well then happy folks.
These dealerships have given all of us in FTE a major problem, real mad and disgruntled customers, and ultimately helped to make the 6.0 look very problematic.

There is no such thing as a truck that is unfixable. We know that. There are some trucks that are unfixable for SOME DEALERS.
I have seen salvage rebuild shops build a great truck from a cowel and floorboard from a burned out wreck.
It can be done. None of us want to be jacked with beyond the limit of our patience.
Some personalities just can't put the problems behind them and go on from today.
I believe that you have the stuff to see this difficult problem through. Let me know If I can help you.

Hey, you asked for them. As I quoted above. You suggests these claims were not true because you hadn't seen a post to back it up. Then I give you 3 and you hide behind "but you can't trust posts" banner. If you weren't going to believe them, why did you ask for them?
I would be ashamed to do searches and come up with more unsubtantiated documentation in a futile effort to win an argument.
Shouldn't you be ashamed for asking?
