Hi, just joined this group, my name is Rob, I am older than most of the dirt you guys play in, and currently live in south central Iowa, (moved to Iowa from Wyo about 13yrs ago), and drive truck for a Co based in In. (but haven't been to In. for about 9mons).
My trucks are:
2000 F250 superduty longbox xtended cab, Lariat dsl
1989 Bronco eb
and I race a slightly modified 88 Ranger in mud drags
I have owned 14 Ford trucks, and 1GMC, and currently do not own any vehicle that is not 4x4
Heya, Jim here. I'm 45 , work for the Postal Service for 23 years now. US Navy '75 - '79 (USS Midway CV-41 , for 2 years) I live in Adel , about a 1/2 hour west of DSM , and work in Urbandale about a mile from the NEW firestation. I have my 1st and only truck , a 78 F100 Ranger XLT 2WD with a 400 under the hood. Lisa's dad gave me the truck free so we could haul our cannon to Drake U. football games. Come to a game sometime and hear it rattle the press box windows from about 75 yards away.
The truck was a total POS when I got it , and after a LOT of work on it , it still LOOKS like a POS , but drives and stops great.
Give a German a Gun, he starts marching toward France.
Give a Frenchman a gun , and he drops it and calls Uncle Sam for help.
You Iowa guys are going to be outnumbering all of the other states in the Drifters pretty soon! I am very pleased to see such enthusiasm and I hope that soon we will get the attention of the rest of the state's members. I really believe that we could have a lot of fun at our individual meets and am really looking forward to the Kalispell meet! I gotta get on the ball and get this landscaping done so I can constipate on getting our tee shirts done.
I imagine you are talking about a far away land called Iowa, since I have no idea where Drake U,

I hope I can get a couple of the local guys to come to a game and tailgate with us INSIDE the stadium , DURING the game as we man the cannon and Lisa serves her great southern cooking. At least one game a year we fry a turkey during the game. The gatekeeper and tickettakers on that side of the stadium all come over for a plate of the goodies and the word has spread among the EMS folks and now they all want to work the games!
Warning about Lisa's cooking: She's put a pound a month on me!
Go Bulldogs!
First time i've been to a computer in a while, and saw ya'll got a new chapter, so here goes....
My name is Justin. I'm from Bismarck, ND but currently living in Wahpeton as I still have another year of auto tech to finish up at NDSCS. I'm 24 but probably don't act it as much as I should. I have a 93 bronco with a 306, e40d, 31x10.5, headers, true duals, no cats. It was my daily driver until I burned the tranny up, so I have to drive a pontiwreck until I have time to rebuild it. I also have a 76 f100 custom 4x4, 360 with duals that has a burned up transfer case, and a 72 f150 ranger 2wd that needs a little TLC. But being 250 miles away from home doesn't exactly make it the easiest to get time to work on them. I work alot during the summer, but when I do get time off, you can usually find me out near the water, either out on the jetski, or baja running the sandbars down at the desert. My family has had mostly fords for as long as I can remember so they're pretty much in my blood. My sis has an 86 f150, my dad has a 78 f150 and a 95 *coff* aerostar *coff* I learned to drive on the 72 that I have (used to be my grandma's) and other numerous fords have come and gone along the way-4 grand marquis, 3 ltds, 2 fullsize vans, a crown vic, and a couple other pickups (parked in a pear tree... ) So to all you guys, thanks for asking me to join, and I'll try to get to a computer a little more often. G/G- Buggies and blues is in Mandan right now, so I have to check it out.
I'd first like to say Thanks to 88grand for the invite and to the Pres. for letting me join!
-Lilman was born and raised in San Diego, Ca. Always loved hotrods of all kinds, but Fords most of all. I've been living in North Dakota for the last ten years. The first winter was rough, but it's all good now. There is no way I'd ever move from this great state. I'll be 33 here pretty soon and have a wife and daughter.
I've had my "new" baby for about 8 months now and love her! She is a '56 longbed 250 with the massive power of the 223 six. My daily ride is an 01 350 CC with the 7.3. Besides hotrods I enjoy beer, cowboy action shooting, beer, the outdoors, beer, and just hanging out with my family. Not always in that order....
Did ya hear about the guy at the silver on saturday? climbed up in the ceiling to peep at the strippers while they changed, and fell through and got arrested. My younger brother said it was a guy that he knows. There were way too many riceburners at B&B. Thought one of the requirements was that it had to be a classic of some sort....Oh well.....I do like the guy with all the grabber green mustangs every year. Would be nice to have a collection like that.
Yeah, had Loock for starting/charging and for fuels. I slept through lecture just about every day. Good teacher, but a little too monotone. Also had campbell, rydell, and arneson. Can't wait to be done with school though. Kinda kills doing a lot of things when you're always short on cash, but there's always thirsty thursday.
Anyway, G/G. I'm at work and on the clock, so I can't let the boss catch me

I don't know much about the rest of the state, and working in auto parts I get a pretty good detail of the races. The World of Outlaws is going to be in Billings the 20-21. I'm pretty big into backpacking and camping, so thats what I am gonna do every chance I get this summer.
