, and I have to drive through knoxville every week, and they make that town a mess on nationals weekend

Aint that the truth. Try navigating Knoxville during the heart of Nationals with a Taurus and a sick tranny that, if you stop, you have a 50/50 chance of it starting again. Yeah...sucks..lol.

Anyways! My name is Jake, and I'm currently living Wwwwaaaayyyyy down in Iowa's lowest tier. I'm just outside of Moulton Iowa, 5 more miles down south on Hwy 202 and I'm buying fireworks (already did that today though shhh). I'm 18 years old, and attending Indian Hills Community College for either 1 or 2 years - depends on when I move out to California so that I may live with my beautiful girlfriend. And I'll be damned if I leave big ugly behind. =P

Speaking of big ugly, I can't really report much in the way of a cool truck. My 1989 F-150 is packing a perfectly healthy 300 cuber, and the M5OD is going good too. Just need to dig in and firm up my shifter again is all. I must report that today I did my first burnout with my truck - for my cousin Matt's sake. The truck isnt very pretty. Has rusting out rear bed corners, over the rear fenders, the hood is - dont' get me started, and the top of the cab ain't so good either. I'll be zapping the hood issue soon hopefully, and I'll play around with the rest of the truck thats got paint coming up - probably just clean off and spray the top of the cab and call it good. She's old, don't need to start her on makeup. Also likes to mark her spot with gear oil, too - gotta routinely fill her up with more gear oil in the tranny every so often. The only thing the truck has done to it is...evidently it felt the need to rip its ABS wire off today during the burn out so don't have to mess with that, and it has a glasspack (can't tell though...not really..) and 30" Cooper Discoverer tires. 234k plus and she's still rolling great.

It's a pleasure to join the chapter - and hopefully I'll be a part of a true IOWA group as well. Later guys, enjoy the holiday SAFELY.

i spent excatly 2 dollars, and then i forgot to take the kids to the fireworks. then i forgot to make dinner, then i forgot to pick up milk when i was out riding my scooter.
but i did manage to take a cruise with my brother he was riding his new scooter we went down by the river where we couldnt go cause both boats were down, one with a bad inboard ( water in the oil go figure it is a GM engine ) and the other some scumbags stole the motor off it. so we hung at the marina had a few cold ones then cme home. a good day off i think lol

You may want to take a drive, west of brookings on Hwy 14. After you get past Arlington, you'll come up on an intersction, for a little town I already forgot the name of, (Hetland I think) but there is one (78- 79) sitting there on your left. I haven't seen them drive it in a long time. It's red, by the way.

Hey there! My name is Dan, I'm 29 and a newbie to Montana. I was born and raised in Reno, NV and moved to Billings in the middle of April.
I got tired of all the people (350,000), tired of family and VERY tired of the ex and her whining! I have an 86 F-250 HD, 4x4, 460, 4 speed, and I can't wait to tear into her to get some more power since there are no smog checks.
My pride and joy though is my 1972 Pontiac Ventura. It has a Pontiac 350 with Edelbrock 4bbl intake, 600cfm carb, and Mallory Unilite dizzy with mechanical advance. NICE!! It looks like hell, but runs like the devil!
Anyway, I like to go shooting but I don't know of any good places yet. I have a WW2 8mm Mauser and an M1 Garand that needs to hunt some deer. Hmmm, maybe if the deer come into my yard again, I can convince the cops that I shot them in self defense.

Well hell Dan....

You found the right forum. There are quite a few shooting spots around here, and just about everyone in MT hunts. In fact, more per capita than any other state, ND is second with 18% of the populus. In MT 25% of the states resident are hunters, and more than 85% are active campers, hikers, fishermen, backpackers, canoeists, and kayakers.

Hello to all. I,m TWolf (Tom) and I live in Lolo just outside of Missoula the dirt bag city. I have been enjoying this site for a little while and have owned Fords for along time. My family and I now have a 99 PSD crew cab LB F-250 for pulling our 31' TT and for me to drive. Also a 98 Explorer, the wife's and a 91 full size Bronco, the sons. My daughter has a Cutlass. She just graduated from the Deaf and blonde school in Great Falls this year. My mistake, the Deaf and Blind school.
I visit FTE and also the RV site quit often and always seem to find things of great interest. I'm in my early 40's, married to the same women for 20 years and have 2 super kids.
I am currently off work for a while now due to a car wreck in Dec 2001 and 2 neck surgurys with the chance of both elbows cut open and more on the neck. Got hit in the rear by a lifted Dodge 3/4 ton while stopped in the road. He was going about 45. But life will go on and there are people who are alot worse off than me. My family hunts and ATV's and go camping alot. For me the first two have slowed down for a while but I refuse to give up all. Any chance to meet I would enjoy. Keep up the good work.

Welcome Tom!

My neighbors daughter graduated from the D&B school in great falls. Seems like a pretty good facility.

Lolo is quite a ways out there, but a number of fellow Drifters are from that area...

Tom, If you can make it, plan on coming up to Kalispell the week of August 15th -21st. You can read more about the meet farther down in this forum. Not a lot of people are probably going to show up, but we have a few fun activities planned, it's fair week and some mighty fine shooting may just happen out at mtflat's place. I checked it out this weekend and looks to be the perfect spot for a bunch of Ford Rowdys to hang at for a day or three. There's room for your RV there! So...hope you read this and then scope out the rest of the forum. And again...welcome aboard!
