@04badford ,

When you get a half cow, who does the butchery? Do they do retail cuts, all portioned down into steaks? Or do you get subprimals, like a whole loin or shoulder clod, which you have to separate yourself?

Went to work last night in shorts and the church "safety team" (they don't want us to be called security officer, we are safety team officers) shirt, a thin summer type shirt. Was nice and warm, until the wind came, and the sun dipped below the horizon. It got so cold I had to go home and get my winter jacket on. Complete with beanie and gloves. Strange weather.

I don't think you get a different icon until you hit 15 years. Don't quote me on that!

I'll be interested to hear how all that cataract surgery turns out when you're done. My eye doc says I'll be needing it in a few years.

I had my clients fill out a cut & wrap sheet , the butcher follows the cuts by your request.

the difference is amazing, it don’t hurt at all during or after surgery, this is day three so I can now keep the plastic eye patch off , apparently the eye lens is floating and takes 14 days to properly set, thus the reason not to use a jack hammer or something that jars your brain around , I highly recommend getting it done if the cataract is getting to a point where site is a issue, your doctor will opt to get the other eye done too because why leave that old halogen when you can have two LEDs

Don't need that surgery yet, but I am sure the older I get the more I will need it.

Cataract surgery is wonderful post op. I went from 20/440 about 20/30 in my left eye and things became much brighter. Lense technology has probably improved significantly in the 15 years since mine was done. unfortunately they were not able to correct my astigmatism.

Dark glasses will become your friend.

Hey Rob from the city,

My wife made a chicken soap from several different left overs out of the fridge, baked Chicken thighs, chicken stock from cooking a bunch of chicken bones that were left over from making Chicken Sausage, rice, Swiss chard, garlic, white kidney beans and secret spices.in the fridge the other night. We grew the Swiss chard and garlic. I was telling my wife about you using up the left over in your fridge. See said "send him a photo of the soup" so here ya go!!

That soup looks good Tim , my dad use to mix all sorts of elk meat , noodles or potato and whatever else in the pot for stew, it was the notorious Heart burn stew but we didn’t die or starve ,
I decided to get out of the house today and play with some fishing stuff , trying to get the boat in order , the winds were picking up with this weeks storm about to hit us , just then it hit me , I really shouldn’t be out in wind with a new eye , too many variables could happen, so I’m back indoors watching Opening day baseball , Giants & Reds

and the Giants came out on top (6-4). Week before last we went to visit my brother and SIL in Sun City. One of the days we went out to watch the Giants cream the Guardians 12-2 (or close to that); it was a scoring fest and a lot of fun to watch. The Giants have a bunch of great rookies to choose from this year.

I love my truck when it runs fine and hate it when it doesn't. Today was a fine running day.
Go Giants!

I spent 45 mins at the counter at the DMV today. I was able to get a sticker and registration for the Shelby which apparently hadn't been registered since 2021. Hmm. $2100 and I need to register it again before mid-June.

I was unsuccessful at getting the two of my dad's cars that were not registered in the family trust into the trust. They wanted my mom's signature as well. I'm heading out in a little while to have her sign a Power of Attorney form so I can sign for her going forward. I wish we'd done that in advance!
