The recurring theme around here is that everything goes over rice, makes fried rice, goes in a bowl of ramen, or becomes a taco. Today is corned beef and cabbage taco.

I have bought GS cookies three times this past month, and all three times there were girls there with adults. Like you, I will never buy GS cookies from a stand that has no girls present.

I quit buying them. I ask if I can just donate $20 dollars to their troop. Their eyes just light up!

I really like cooked Spinach, especially fresh cooked and add a little Rice Wine Vinegar. As a kid in elementary school they served this lump of green stuff (Canned Spinach), I even liked that stuff.

That's how it starts. Gang mentality. You give them a vest, full of patches, and it can only lead to adult hooliganism. Global organized shenanigans. A cookie mafia.

They got me again. There's a sucker born every minute. I'm one of the biggest suckers. It's for a good cause. It helps Game Rangers in Africa, who are grossly underpaid and ill equipped. I can't even begin to imagine how hard that job must be. Only to have to do the job without the proper equipment. They're out there in old trucks, without body armor or helmets, and usually without guns. Oftentimes, even clean drinking water is a luxury. I'll treat this item as a work related equipment purchase, and write it off like a plumber's wrench.

I have no doubt it's alive and driving about. Got some snow this am, but Illinois spring isn't too far off.

This is how they get me. They lure me into the store with a coupon. The store was completely dead. I should have known because there were no cars in the lot and I parked right by the front door. Maybe 3 other people who also got a coupon. I see the news on television about how retailers are filing for bankruptcy left and right. But it was an eye opener to go into a store, and not see any people.

They sent me a $5 coupon. I walked around and found something worth $5.

No wonder they can't stay in business. Giving away items for free will do that.

Always trying to make me hungry with your food photos.
My truck is a mystery to me. My roommate woke up late this morning and asked me if I would take the munchkin to school. I told her "If the truck starts I will" And since it was raining at the time I figured I could get a free truck wash. To my surprise it started right up. But of course, ran like poop. For the first few minutes anyway. Then it cleared up and ran fine all by itself. after dropping off the kiddo we went to the cheapest gas station in Fresno and paid $3.86 a gallon. Fifteen dollars got me a grand total of 3.8 gallons. Anyway, it started right up again, and we went to BK for breakfast. And again, it started right up afterwards, running fine the entire time. The only problem I had was trying to shift gears right after starting the truck for the first time. After that it was a heck of a lot easier to shift. Strange.

What's the price range for corned beef? As in, what is it typically, and what kind of price do you see when it's on sale?
