The weather guessers say it will not rain until 1pm today and continue until just after 3pm. I step outside at 7:30 am and it starts raining instantly. It's Monday, that explains it.

Boat: A hole in the water into which you pour money.
I also believe that most if not all fishing lures and sauces, plastic tricks out on the market today are scams , I know some bass jigs work but I’m thinking bass are not as smart or finicky on what they strike at vs Trout, salmon , over the years and still buying the scam baits instead of a plain ol worm or corn , I try and walk the banks to see whats flying or crawling around and catch that for bait but No , I end up buying plastic simulated flys and power baits

My Dad (may he RIP). never saw a lure he didn't like.
We never went to a bait shop, or sports store without coming out with another lure or two or three. He never threw any of them out either. When he passed away, we went out into the boat house (he lived on a lake in northern Minnesota), he had a wall with a couple dozen tackle boxes filled with all those lures. It appeared that whenever he filled a tackle box, he just got another tackle box and started filling. He had old hand-carved lures that he had gotten back in the 1940s. We were quite taken aback when some of those old lures sold for several hundred dollars each in the estate sale.
Sounds like my Dad and I with tools. And everything gets used at least once. Sometimes only once. But it was cheaper to buy the tool and do it yourself, than to pay someone else. I just bought a string trimmer. Cordless electric. $50 tool is better than paying some guy $100 to cut grass and weeds. And I will use it more than once.
Sometimes I envy renters. They don't deal with homeowner chores.

Or property taxes, or replacing dishwashers, or fixing garbage disposals etc.
