200 people. Wow! That's mind boggling. Did you even know half of them?

 

Haha, no. Probably not. But I sure knew a lot of them, and recognized a lot more. My dad was VERY active in his old car clubs and had been for more or less my whole life. Many of these folks I've known my whole life.

 

Steak fried rice. Made with cheap chuck steak. Not quite like what those girls do in Japan. I used brown rice. Had to cut back from 6 eggs to 2. Egg prices are higher. Edible though.

That's a good looking Drift Boat, have fun and post photos of the fish you catch.

 

Make sure you are wearing a floatation device. As a kid, we spent a lot of time at a local lake. Every summer, all through the summer, there were drownings. Every one of them didn't have a life jacket. Nobody plans on falling in. And everyone believes that they know how to swim.


Depending on where you go, check in with whomever is the authority. Game warden. Park ranger. Deputies. Make sure that you are in compliance with whatever the requirements are. I know a guy who got fined because he didn't have a current handbook with fish identification guide, measurements...... AND the proper measure devices. He said, "What's the difference? I only catch and release." He was still out of compliance. I was once warned for not having the correct device to measure with. Apparently, a tape measure wasn't good enough. Another time, I got a warning for not displaying my fishing license properly. I once got an infraction ticket, which is like a parking ticket. For having the wrong tackle. Not using it. We were using the correct equipment. But there were some barbed treble hooks on board, so everyone on the boat got a small ticket. And different lakes have different rules about alcohol on the boat. I hear there are now places where you can't have beer on the boat at all...... Like an open container in a car. It doesn't matter if the operator isn't drinking. The driver still gets in trouble if there's an open container in the car.

Too many stupid laws on the books. Makes no sense to get cited for not having measuring equipment when you are catching and releasing. Just my .02.

Yep , too many regulation's, we have Jet skis too , water cops like to ruin a great day out with small petty stuff ,
