Imagine a world where your customers accept being wrong / late on a delivery date 50% of the time.
If I was wrong 50% of the time at work I would be unemployed. Only job you can be wrong and not lose your job is weatherman, or Ford production scheduling. Crazy times.

And THEY are being laid off too. Bet they missed that forecast!
I think the delay stories are probably equally offset by on time or even early deliveries. Mine hit the dealership just after lunch today, they have been early on each and every forecast date provided. It is a full load 6.7 HO Platinum with every towing option available, including 5er prep and the spray in bed liner so, I don’t think things as are quite as dire as can be portrayed, yes it sucks to be effected negatively but just as many promises are being delivered upon as broken…
I agree with this. Mine was delivered 1 day under 8 weeks from the day I ordered it until I picked it up (this Wednesday). Mine was also a Platinum with spray in bed liner and 5th wheel prep. I think part of the issue is that they build in batches, so if there is one slight delay, it can push you out until the next cycle which could be many weeks.

So the latest bit of info from the sales manager: was there yesterday with my son who bought a new 2024 blacked out, loaded F350 Lariat off the lot (smart move - beautiful truck). What they are finding is if your scheduling notice has an exact date such as “will be built on 3/31/25”, it is almost a guarantee that the truck will be built as stated. If, however, it says the “week of”, no guarantees. It could get moved. Mine is the week of 3/31, so not thrilled. I would not take this to the bank as Ford has never confirmed this for him, but it is what they are seeing. And I agree with everyone above. They are guessing. Supply chain management clearly no longer their strong suit, and no accountability to customers or dealers.
Just hang in there, my original estimate was 2/24 to 3/2, then 2/26 to 3/4, then 3/4 to 3/10, then backwards to 2/21 to 2/27. It was delivered today 2/27.
Just got another update, now it’s 3-7 to 3-13 . Heck it maybe sitting in the lot by Monday.
My order has been "In Production" since 2/20 (11 days of production!). Has anyone else had this experience and it ended well with it changing to "Built"?
Yes, my truck showed "in production" the Monday prior to the scheduled build week. It stayed in that status for 10 or 11 days. My suspicion is that the first week is staging and the actual build takes place at some point during the second week.
Does your window sticker appear yet? My sticker didn't show up for the first several days and then finally appeared. It still didn't get built for several days after that.
This works for me, and my window sticker is also available through that site.
Interesting observation I just noticed. My "In Production" status shows that number highlighted but no date. This is different from others' status screens showing both a date and a checkmark for that step on their status pages.

Very similar to my truck status, and I was pushed out to 5/5 and then about a week later to 3/17. Good luck.

Takes a couple days from when the first parts are riveted together and into paint, then once it is out of the oven and cooled, it hits the assembly line. I think paint takes up most of an entire day. Up until that first color coat is applied its a random truck, once the paint is applied it becomes your build.
Looks like my truck is in production! I wasn't expecting movement until next week and there is no window sticker available on my vin yet. The excitement after the initial order is starting to come back!
