Ordered my F550 cc 179" Lariat 7.3 on Monday (11/18). Will be putting a CM Truck Beds RD flatbed on it. Received an "order received" email from Ford the next day (11/19). Hoping to take delivery in January-February.
I ordered my F-250 XL a few weeks ago, got the 'order received' a few days later. I'm still waiting for the next thing... they need to hurry, I have to wrap this and put it under the Christmas tree for my bride!
Texas Hill Country, eh? My current 2023 came from down yonder... my dealer had to trade for it, down in Lampasas.
Their building them quick this year.I ordered 450 Platinum on Nov 5th, the store manager physically ordered it that day as a priority 03,Nov 06th got a email from Ford saying they received the order, Nov 06 got another email from Ford saying they will be building it on Dec 16th and issued me a VIN #.Called the dealer in disbelief, he said yes it's true, received the same info.Must have caught it just when they were going to build 450s, thought it was going to be at least a 4/6 month build.
Correction ,received the built date and Vin # on Nov 7th
My initial email regarding the order received states, "You can expect to receive an update regarding your order within the next 45 days." Is that the generic timeframe they list in all these messages?

Having waited 14 months for my build date, Ford's promise of an email every 45 days never happened on time even once.

When you receive the a built date and issued a Vin # that's when it's going to happen. The dealers you guys are dealing with are pathetic. I watched the general manager order the truck right in front of me with a priority 03.
When I received a built date and a vin # , does that mean anything?
That your dealer's allocation, volume, and order specifics in relation to parts availability met current batch run requirements to get scheduled. It has nothing to do with the priority code other than place in line with other orders for the same model placed from the same dealer.
Ordered a 25 F350 SRW King Ranch with long bed and 7.3 gas . Dealership bought my 2020 F450 Platinum 25k less than I paid new . I also got 500 over invoice on new truck .
I find all this info to be very interesting. I ordered a '25 F450 KR from my dealer on 9 October. I heard nothing from Ford or my dealer after that. Yesterday, I bugged the dealer for a copy of the order and discovered he had not included my name or email address on the order. I had him add them and today I received the "Thanks for your order" email from Ford. I also noticed the dealer listed the order as a priority 10. I'm assuming that means it is a low priority for the dealer, but what does it mean in the overall scheme of things for Ford?

I ordered yesterday at the dealership and received an email from Ford today confirming my order . Said I would have more update info sometime in the next 45 days .

Yes, that is because your dealer is smart enough to put your name and email address on the order where it asks for that information. Clearly, your dealer is smarter than mine, since my dealer left that information off the order until i made him add it over a month later.
Certainly, dealers have a purpose. i just wish we could keep them out of the ordering process. Just let me build it online and place the order. I can haggle with the dealer about price when it gets here.

I had to tell them to use 25 Superduty build instead of 24 build so I’m not sure how much smarter they were . He said we can use 24 and it will be ok . I said no use the 25 and be done with it .
