Same here with a 2024 f450 never built and now 2025 f450 Platinum order sitting stagnant with my dealer not able to tell me if they if the proper allocation or not. Where did you end up going to order yours?
could you tell us what your trim level is, and what commodities you have on your order?
I went to fairway ford in Ohio. Ask for Jimmy. He told me he’s moved several 25’s already. The day I was there, another guy was there picking up his 450

Sorry mjcoff02, I didn't realize you were asking me. I originally had a 2024 f450 Lariat with the ultimate package ordered that never got built. Because Ford removed a few options for the 2025 Lariat, I stepped up to the 2025 F450 Platinum trim level without the plus package because I'm not a fan of those seats and don't want the power on board or sunroof. I added the HO 6.7 and a few other options. Recently I removed the spray in bed liner and added the FX4 package which now I am second guessing that decision because of quality concerns of cheap skid plates. Not a big deal. This truck is primarily a tow vehicles for our 5th wheel RV and will also get used for home improvement projects. I am trading or selling outright a 2023 f350 Lariat with Ult package with only 11k miles and think I will likely get burned now that the market has changed so much. Used trucks are dropping in value. This thing is a beauty and garage kept and pretty much like new but I want the 450's 8' bed and higher towing capacity. I know the 350 dually has higher capacities when fitted the same but I like the 450's turning radius, bigger brakes, and a few other items. What is your order story?

Thanks for the thoroughness of what you've been through. It's helpful knowing others are navigating this right along with me.
I'm relatively new to this, having only ordered about a month ago. I ordered mine through my hometown dealer, so I get lots of one-on-one help and they provide plenty of updates/information. I think our orders are about the same, Platinum, FX4, no moonroof, and I left off the bedliner. My dealer has allocations, and I am the highest priority super duty. I think it's just about waiting is all there is to do now. I have now confirmed by a 4th source that Ford is doubling production for F450's in the coming months which should speed things along nicely.

Wow, thats awesome news to hear and I sure hope your sources are correct. I have been a bit baffled by the low numbers of the 450's being produced. Thanks for the information.

The F450 is shoe-horned into the 14000 weight number to keep it in the class range so it is registered/insurable as a regular consumer truck in most areas. It is way more capable.
I didnt add the sunroof, onboard power, or the FX4. FX4 on a F450 only has the plates on the transfer case and fuel tank, no locking rear for duals.
If others have long waits for orders to be scheduled, make sure to remove any option that can be put on later (bed liner, bed covers especially). Much of it is the dealer allotments, choose
a dealer that sells a lot of Superduties. If they have a lot full of Superdities (F450-F550 chassis cabs, and a line of F250-F350) then they will probably have allotments to get yours
scheduled. If they mostly have a lot full of cars then you may have to wait awhile.
I see my truck is in production as of 2-06 ahead of the 2-10 date I was originally given . I’ve checked again today and it’s still showing in production as of 2-06 . Anyone know how long production usually takes ? My build is a F350 KR 7.3 crew cab , long bed , FX4, Ruby Red . I didn’t get moon roof but got just about every other option offered.

The status change to “In Production” is usually seven days more or less from the actual production date. My truck was scheduled for week of 2/10 also and changed to In production on Feb. 3. It remained that way until Feb 9 when it still said in production but the status date changed to 2/9. I figured it was probably being built that day and yesterday 2/10 I checked fordserviceinfo.com for as built data and sure enough all of the as built modules had been populated. It still says in production because it’s probably been sent out for the spray in bed liner. You can probably count on the truck actually being built on about 2/13.

Thanks for the information, hoping to see an update soon.

Use either one of these links and plug in your order number and VIN and you should be able to pull up your window sticker this close to your build date:

I was glad to see your update. My truck was also scheduled for 2/10 and changed to "in production" on 2/4. As of today, the status changed date is still 2/4, so hopefully mine will be built in the next couple of days. Like yours, I will then need to wait for them to send it off site for the sprayed in bed liner.
I assume you need to pay a fee to use the fordserviceinfo.com web site to lookup vehicle as built info?

No, you don’t have to pay anything. If you plan on doing any modifications to your truck using ForScan it’s a good idea to have a copy of the as built data in case you need to return a setting to its original state. Read the ForScan tutorial thread for more information. The address for the as built data is https://www.fordserviceinfo.com/AsBuilt
If your truck is not built yet it will recognize your VIN as a valid VIN, but will not have any data. Once the vehicle is built the modules and programming will populate.
