One of Jokester's posts on "stored" oil containers shows some gummy residue at the bottom of his older oil containers. Admittedly not as much as JSM180 showed us w/ his old container of Archoil. The Archoil bottle itself talks about the ingredients being concentrated and that the product MUST be diluted and mixed in the oil.
The real issue IMO is the performance in the engine. I personally do not believe a residue at the bottom of the container is indicative of it staying in "semi-solid" form in the oil system. Similarly, it is another leap to say that it will cause engine operational problems just because of the residual material/chemicals. With ALL the Archoil used in 6.0L engines, it is hard to condemn the product IMO. I hope the Archoil folks join this thread. I sent them a link. I would also suspect that they (and the owner) would like to have the material in question traced back to a production batch. Anyway - even after what JSM180 posted, it did not cause any engine operational issues (assuming I read his earlier posts correctly).
I am very curious where you are seeing the reported issues being discussed. I have only seen this one and one other one over all the years. Admittedly I do not do Facebook. I have trust issues w/ that media. I also typically only watch 6 liter sites, but I watch a LOT of them and a lot of members use Archoil (as previous posters here have stated).
Lastly, several places are beginning to talk about the product being counterfeited and that the purchase sources needing to be "vetted".
jsm180's post this morning motivated me to contact a friend that uses this additive. He had an empty bottle of it that had been laying around in the garage for quite a while. Pic below of what was in the bottom of the bottle (similar in appearance).
I added 1/4 a cup of oil to it and it went back into solution with a small bit of mixing. Then I poured that into a half a quart of oil (Mobil Delvac 1 ESP) and will watch to see if it drops out of solution over time. Pics below. When using it, shaking the bottle appears to be a wise thing, and flushing the empty bottle with some of the fresh oil does also.

Anyway, this thread originally involved a oil filter housing standpipe insert that was NOT OEM and can easily lead to bypassing filtration (not the same situation as completely OEM).

Quite a bit of what settled to the bottom is crystalized and will not dissolve. I'm not surprised the solids separated out, but turning to hard chunks is odd.
Did you stir it? I had to stir mine a bit, but not a lot. Mine looked like yours (sludgy and would stay on a screwdriver blade). Maybe yours is quite a bit "older" - who knows.
EDIT - I went back and looked - yeah, 2014 is definitely a lot older. Most of that wouldn't simply "pour" out of the bottle though would it?

Yes, a lot, sounds like rocks in the cup. I bought this in March of 14.
I had originally started running the 9100 to quiet the injectors, it helped a little but ended up replacing them with Ford remans and stopped using the 9100, the originals lasted 175k. The Ford remans lasted another 90k before 2 quit. Now running 8 Holders Premium remans, time will tell.
