>> I would be interested to see what the IPR and ICP pressures are with all the gunk in the system. Kinda surprised it even starts anymore.

The HPOP screen should be interesting.

I can see some crud in that filter so I'd be doing 2-3 oil changes over the next hundred miles with cheapo diesel oil and some trans fluid, but that's just how I'd do it and to each their own. Also how many miles on that oil?
Yes probably 12 miles. I went up town and put fuel in and sat in a drive thru line to feed my diet soda addiction then drove a loop to double back. I just shot high. Maybe 45 min. Less than 100 miles on this oil.

What’s the weirdness at the top of the stand pipe?

I think there's a Fram adapter piece in there and if used with an OEM filter I believe it will not seat properly and allow dirty oil to bypass the filter, but could be wrong.

I’ll see if I can find a replacement if that will change anything.

Some new developments.

Still doesn't explain all the garbage in the oil.

We will never know for sure and the only take away from this thread is to not let OP work on your rig!

Oh my shots fired.

Is the OP the one that did all the maintenance and prior oil changes or just helping the old man neighbor out?

I recall him explaining but I lost track.

Fram is not the only company making aftermarket filters.
