Good evening, Washington, Tim, Wayne - you made it,
Wayne, I have been missing them beautiful pictures of Sun Rise and set.
Sorry I've been remis,
So last night as I was going into the house from the shop about 7ish, I was greeted by this amazing sunset with a little sliver of crescent moon and Venus shining brightly on an otherwise perfectly clear sky. It looked way better in person, this really does no justice, but you can use your imagination.
With all that time I had in the barn this weekend I finally got everything I needed from the engine and wiring donor car! Woohoo! I tossed all of the stuff I removed or broke to get to everything right into the back seat and trunk which works out well. Tomorrow I'll go up and talk to my local tow and vehicle junk yard to get it taken away so I can keep chippin away on projects.
Good Monday afternoon Washington, Tim, Wayne, 350 Ken, Ken, Steve, Roy and all the crew. Beautiful day in my WV woods at 72°, Nice breeze, full sun and low humidity.
I hope everyone is enjoying the same!
350 Ken, glad you have salvaged the things you want and part with the junk!
Thanks Wayne, nice late evening sky shot!
Tim, I hope you and Maria survived the weekend of fun!
Here's the pile of wires I have to go thru to weed out the wires I don't need so I can make a stand alone harness for the VW TDI.
Oh another thing I did with the donor car is I loaded it up with a bunch of metal car parts Ihad in a corner I was going to scrap someday. Lots of brake rotors, brake drums, cv joints, axles, bumpers, core support, steel wheels, tons of wheel bearings,
sections of exhaust pipes and 2 radiators finally out of the barn!
Evening Tim and Ken. finally felt good enough to get the new clutch slave on the '60 and working! Used the old tubing into a bottle method. Almost over this junk. I first felt the sore throat a week ago Friday nite.
Ken, that is a few wires. Where the connectors in decent shape and not brittle?
We didn't work on the water leak today. But I am thinking about taking my big shop vac down there and seeing if I can suck a hole in the ground at least a couple feet deep, maybe I can get the water to come to the surface.
I got a photo of the Northern Lights last night, first time ever, and only the second time I have seen them from our place. Unfortunately I didn't have the camera in focus.
