good morning missouri.... the storms started about a hour ago and just keep getting worse.. not sure how long it will keep up but if it stays like this for very long the creeks will flood for sure... but so far no bad winds so that is good..
rich sounds like you are making good use of your vacation time...
Morning all,
Managed to sneak a dog walk in this morning before it started to drizzle. I'm not sure if we're supposed to get bad weather or not but my new grass seed outta be loving all the moisture of late. Company from NoLa left this morning so maybe I can get back to the ole routine.
I managed to get a few minutes yesterday and installed the gauge cluster back in the 56 with the new hybrid fuel gauge. It seems to be working but now the oil idiot light doesn't light up prior to starting the engine (light goes out when oil pressure is sensed). Nice thing is the 56 is in the house garage so it's easy to slip out and work on it for a few minutes pretty much any time of the day.
Looks like weekend after next is the Ozark Swap Meet in Springfield. I think I'll make a day trip to snoop around for a couple of hours, probably Friday. Let me know if anyone else is planning on going. I'd love to go to Scott's Salvage as well but that's probably too much to do in a day trip.
Well, I got the steel picked up for my 4 link bars. It's a little heavier than your average street stuff. In fact, you could probably put the entire street 4 link bar inside my tubing, rod end and all. This is 3" o.d. x 1/2" wall D.O.M. tubing that takes a 1 1/2" rod end. It's massive but I don't want it to break. The mounting tabs are hardened 5/8" thick plate steel. Now I'm just working up the motivation to get out there and get to work.
Morning gents, well we are getting around slowly this AM out here (out west). Do not have to be at the airport until 2:45 this afternoon. I hope the storms have come and gone by the time we land in Tulsa. And we still have to make that drive to the get the grandkids home. We will stay the night there and head back home Thursday.
BJ I had forgot about the Spg Swap meet, I am sure Ed and I will make it a down and back same day deal. See ya there fri or sat?
Alan I am trying to get you some more bumper repop work. Mike Suvanto (?) also mentioned your bumpers and monster jacks on there. Look up the group on FB (73-79 Ford Trucks) they had a guy looking for a Warm bumper. Willie Carrier, who lives in Lockwood Mo, is looking for one for his 76 SC
Hello Ford Friends!
Bike rode the entire Mickelson Trail from DEadwood to Edgemont S.D. gorgeous! Had a tour through Mt. rushmore, other beauty areas close by. Now at brothers in Ft collins for several days.
Rich beautiful pics. I'd like to ride the couer dealene and hiawatha trail next summer.
BJ I've heard your guy in Calwood, Crazy ed that you bought front grille, etc. is scrapping lots of stuff to a recycler. Better get out there if there's anything else you want.
Shared the highway with thousands of bikers heading to/from Sturgis. Stressful, in that they like to ride 2 abreast on the edge of yellow line. That usuallyy doesn't end well!
take care all!
Howdy all youins. Back at the w-word, trying to beat getting kicked out of the system at 7ish for that FM stuff that happens in computers.
Have a great evening!
Morning all.
It's quiet here. Yesterday I was hoping to go for a lunch run in the rain. Well the rain didn't materialize while I was out running. The to top it off my body shut down with about 2.5 miles to go. I ended up walking a good portion of the last two miles. There were lots of uphills getting back home. Not sure what happened. I skipped my run this morning to rest. I'm hoping the storm brought in some allergies that kicked my butt.
I need to get my truck out for a drive to check the temp and gas gauges out.
Tonight we are planning to go to the Moniteau County Fair. Our granddaughter is entered into the baby contest. Looks like it will be in the low 80's this evening so the weather will be nice.
Rich. I had a couple guys message me about bumpers, so I may throw a couple together just to have around. I need to build 2 more jacks and sell them as well, then I should be in ok shape for a minute and I can work on something else for a while.
Left Spokane at 3:45 PM, on a flight to Denver, and then a 1.5 flt to Tulsa. Then a 2 hour drive back to Missouri and the grandkids house. Then took another 2 hour drive (in that miserable thick fog) at about 35 to 45 MPH down the interstate. Home at 04:00. I remember looking at the clock at 05:30 thinking I need to sleep....Back up at 07:00 to go pick up Waylon. Yawn...
BJ so you want to meet up Friday at the swap meet? Let me see what Ed has on his schedule ok?
Good morning youins. Finally getting to leave the house to see customers. Been busy with work since about 4:30, I get some shop therapy tonight, hopefully it clears my head. Got the Mustang GT project moving forward again after my buddy broke a bottom tap in the block. A rattle gun with a punch bit is the bomb for busted taps, a carbide burr to finish it off.
Morning all,
Welcome back Rich. I'm kinda tossed on going to the swap meet. I wanna go to Frog Follies in Evansville, Indiana the following weekend. The show is for older vehicles but it's got a swap meet as well. I'll probably go to both but some times I think "this is madness." I'll go on Friday to both just so everything isn't picked over. I haven't looked at the weather, but if it's raining I probably won't go.
Chip, I'd like to know what you're talking about (rattle gun)as well. Are you talking about an air impact gun?
Joe, I couldn't run the 2 miles ya walked but I hope your right and it's just allergies.
Dave2, I got everything that Crazy Eddie had that I could use. Probably good he does scrap most of his stuff cause you can't get to it anyway
good morning missouri.. the storm came in with a vengeance again ...took out a few more trees.. one is on the east side just about 10' from my computer desk luckily it went toward the creek and not the house.. my yard looks like a battle ground.... will wait for winter before i start sawing tree's and branches again.. dont know why but the last 3 storms had wind so bad that it is taking out so many healthy tree's that i am losing my heavily shaded yard .. if this keeps up i will be living in a open field soon..:
Wow! What usually takes me about 3 hours took me most of the day to mow. Got everything mowed but no weed eating. I'll save that for some other day.
RC glad you don't have anymore house damage. None of the storms did much up here. A few dead limbs blew outta the trees but no trees down, at least at my place.
