The one year the weather is close to perfect for the swap meet is when I need to stay home and clear brush back all weekend.

Good morning Missouri FTE'ers, I'm in my garage & currently just FTE'ing-off at the moment. I need to mow again before it gets a 100&whatever degrees outside. The weather sure was beautiful this week...more please! My work week was good, got to stay busy. Yesterday, I went over a couple ideas with my boss, he smiled & said that'll save him & he was good with whatever I wanted to do, so that was real nice to hear.

I might kick some tires on some old Ford pickem-ups today, not sure yet.

Any coyote hunters here? I've never put any effort into it but I think I'd like to.

Good day everyone.
Chris

Hydration & cool-down break. We're about halfway through to the primary target and a good portion of what's left may be able to be taken out with the mower.

Afternoon all,
RC do you think you're feeling bad from your treatment or something else? If you think it's treatment related maybe ya better plan on staying here after your next treatment on the 5th.
Damn dog decided it was time for me to get up at 6:30 this morning, so I started my day out earlier than expected. Walking the dog I was pondering what I should do today. Decided to go fishing. So after breakfast I headed out to the pond. It was perfect weather but after an hour or so and only catching a couple tiny bluegills I decided maybe I better weed eat before the hot weather sets in. After weed eating there are a couple of places my Zero Turn can't mow well so I got out the push mower and knocked those spots out. Well next thing I know I'm listening to music on my sound deadening head phones and mowing the whole yard. So now I can get down to some serious "playing trucks" done for the next couple of days.
I got the heater box for the 60 all sandblasted and the majority of it POR-15ed the other day. When I took the box apart the foam that the heater core sets on disintegrated and I haven't been able to find new ones anywhere. I wonder if the self sticking window and door seal the Big Box hardware stores sell would suffice?
I still need to address the 56 hood issue as well. I guess I'll get some sand paper and spend some quality time getting to know my hood.

Well what a day, the weather at 06:00 was awesome. I picked up Ed at 07:00 and off we went to the swap meet. At 08:00 we made it and it was nice there and we had a breeze while we walked and shopped the whole top side paved area.

But after a couple hours Ed was done and it was starting to get warm, so we hit the road back north. I seen a couple of crazy priced dent side Fords in the car corral. Overall it looked to be a great swap meet turn out, even though we did not make it deep and in the back part and down the hill in the bottom, or the back fence line.

Once I got home, it got HOT HOT and I stalled on doing anything outside in the sun.

good morning missouri.. rich are ya going back to find those diamonds in the rough that may be hidden down in the lower swap area.. at least down there there are a few tree's to stand under to cool off a bit..
did anyone while wondering the swap meet happen to see a 41-46 white motor company grille.. i keep hoping to come across mine at a swap meet or something.. it would be a shame if the thieves thought that it would bring more as scrap..

have been thinking about going to the swap meet myself because finding anyone to ride along has been a challenge... not sure if the cloudy skies out there now, will stay or if the heat will get turned back on again..

ya'll have a good day.. and stay near the shade..

Morning all,
Dogs walked and am waiting on SIL to contact me about going out to the boat to try to dial in the Carburetor. He said he bought "The Tool" to adjust the screws. Did I mention it's already 82°.
"still waiting on the SIL" Ended up shooting a Top Coat of POR15 Gloss Black on the tilt hood components. It's getting hotter out there.

Morning all.
Yesterday was a full day. I got into Bolivar at 6:30am to get a workout in. I ran an hour progression run. That's a run were you get faster every 5 minutes. I was going very fast at the end.
Then I pick up donuts and head back to my parents. Then Gwen and I cleaned up and headed to Springfield. She dropped me off at the swap meet.
Not much for Y-block people. I did get a card of a guy that has Y-block distributers. I also saw a complete car y-block engine, but it was sold already. Not that I would have considered buying it. Gwen picked be back up close to 2pm. It was pretty warm at that time.
We grabbed a bite to eat and headed back to my parents where I mowed the yard and trimmed a couple of branches. The pole saw was dull and it spun on the pole, so I got the main branch cleared off and left some others.
I then took a generic Benadryl (didn't know it was that one) and tried to drive home. Got about 30 minutes into the drive and had Gwen drive the rest of the way.

This morning I got an 11 mile run in. It was so humid out. My shorts looked like I had just jumped into a swimming pool.
I think I will stay inside most of the day today.

Morning all.

Not much going on here other than trying to keep cool. Took Mom to the store and picked up a few things earlier and it was already nasty hot out there. I toyed with the idea of hitting the swap meet today, but the idea of being out in the heat again today killed that idea.

RC - I hope you decide to stay somewhere cool today. There's nothing at the swap meet worth heat exhaustion...

Good evening youins, it's plenty warm outside, but it sure beats the dead of winter...at least in my mind. We took the hotrod and her Jaguar to Versailles yesterday for a cruise in, the Jag has cold AC, hotrod has a 650HP heat generating lump and no interior airflow. Big tire cars sure transmit imperfections in the pavement to the driving experience, throw in short wheelbase, makes it even more prevalent. Been in the shop all day getting things arranged so when the Mustang leaves, Ms Dent comes inside. I'll be meeting up with our chapter leader at some point next month for tires for her.
Off to the summer kitchen and then maybe pool time before tackling more day job work.
Have a great evening youins!
RC, take it easy buddy!
