good afternoon missouri.. i gave a lot of thought to getting some ford work done today.. ha ha ha ha ... would like to replace the side door latch on the van.. but!!!...the position i have to get my body into to remove the door panel without being able to open the door up. (neither inside nor outside door handle will open the door) is just to hard to stay in for any amount of time.... i will put that job off for another time when my body is more flexible...
the weather is great out there so sitting on the back deck watching the creek flow by sounds like a better option right now....
Afternoon all,
Let the fun begin. The well guys came out today and said they can hear it leaking. I’m no professional on the matter but you’d think a two year old well wouldn’t be leaking. Apparently there some kinda rust mold that is leaking into the well and causing my water to look rusty. All the new pipes are PVC. The rusty stuff clogs up the filters in a month. I guess I should be glad I have an ultra violet cleaner as a final protection. They are coming out next Wednesday to “Fix” the problem.
I some how got sidetracked back to the 60. Has anyone ever taken the fresh air ducts outta the cab. I’d like to clean behind them, they’re full of rotted leaves and dirt, and maybe POR15 the rust that’s behind them. I saw a picture of one out but there was no info on how they got it out.
Atch a picture of your tumbler would be nice when you get it finished...
Oh, you can bet I'll be posting pix. Of course, that's if it actually works. If it doesn't I'll be slinking off into the woods never to be heard from again. I haven't gotten anything done on it today. I left the MIG gas on last night and the bottle emptied itself. Even with the note taped onto the welder saying "TURN THE GAS OFF." There's an identical note taped inside the shop door that I'm supposed to see as I leave the building. In unison you folks can shout "he's an idiot." I went to town this afternoon and ran errands, including going to the welding shop and getting the gas bottle refilled. After supper I'll be going back out and hook up the bottle so I can (hopefully) finish the welding. My plan was to paint this thing with brush on Rustoleum gloss black, but I opened the can today and found that the paint has set up in the can. Could be because the can is probably 20 years old and hasn't been opened since it was fairly new. I've got one spray can of gloss black left so I'll use that.
I'll make my next post in the September thread. OR maybe on here tonight before I go to bed.

Sounds like iron bacteria?
They will probably shock your well with chlorine to kill the bacteria.
Im not sure what they would hear leaking unless the riser has a leak.

They think ground water is leaking in and adding the iron bacteria. All I know is I shouldn't be having problems with a new well. Especially for the cost.
