Alan I was surprised how deep my grass was even though we had 100° weather. I'm glad my trees are away from the house but I've got a dead tree that could fall in a neighbor's yard if I don't get it down SOON.
Went to the Urologist this morning. He made another appointment to scope my ****. They can't figure out why I can't pee a stream or completely empty my bladder. Already had a Urolift that did nothing except land me in the ER from a blood clot that wouldn't let me pee AT ALL. This getting old sucks.

Got my Sister In Law from NoLa coming in Thursday so I'm trying to get all my chores knocked out so I can do whatever she wants. I think she's bringing a couple of her Grandsons with her but I doubt they'll wanna "Play Trucks". One has his drivers license so she's driving up.

Got RC covered for his trip to St Louie in a few weeks so he's got that he doesn't have to worry about.

I'm loving this cooler weather but chores are keeping me inside most of the day. Perfect "Play Truck" days here lately.

Morning all,
Safe travels Rich.
It has rained most of the night and it's not supposed to stop until around noon. It's for the most part a gentle soaking rain. Ponds still a couple of foot low but I'm sure the grass, and weeds, are loving it.
Getting a new water filtration system installed today, Hey Culligan man, what the heck; it's only money.

Good Morning Eveybody!

Rich. Have a fun and safe trip.

RC. I figure with my trees, they'll either fall on their own, or when the tree service gets caught up, they can come and cut them down. I guess I'll wait and see how it plays out.

Today is the day! I'm finally gonna get on my mower and knock the hay field that has become my yard down to a lawn again.

Evening All!

I got the yard cut today, but the field is still shaggy. My "industrial grade" Grasshopper mower doesn't cut grass worth a crap when the grass is wet. When I say "wet", I mean if there's the slightest amount of morning dew on it, the deck will clog up within 50 feet of mowing. It's truly horrible. I can scrape the underside of the deck sterile, sharpen the blades until you can shave with them, but if the grass is the slightest bit damp, the pile of junk will struggle. I fought my way through the back yard, but left the field until tomorrow to give it another day to dry out from the rain.

Morning all.
I'm up early to get a run in before it gets to warm. Although it has been a little cooler. I'm hoping it will rain on me this morning.
It looks like the south part of Jeff City got some big hail. We didn't get that at our house but there was talk of a funnel cloud around our area.
Glad we are getting this rain. My run yesterday was closer to a swim with all the humidity.

Friday Sarah heads to school. So tonight will be packing up. She is very unorganized and it is driving my wife crazy.

Morning all,
Joe I do remember running in the rain was always comfortable. Keeps ya from getting too hot.
We got rain last night but not much. The pond is still WAY low.
Sister In Law arrives sometime this afternoon/evening. Haven't heard if they've left or not but it's about a 10 hour drive plus gas and food stops. It's been a few years since I've driven since St Louis has a direct flight that's about 2 hours.
I finally received my 56's fuel gauge. I had Chevy guts put in my Ford gauge so I can read my fuel level. Maybe I'll try to put it in today. Still need to figure out the cranks but no start on it as well.
Stay safe.

good morning Missouri.. i have not got much of anything done in a few days now.. and it looks like that may continue for the foreseeable future.. sure am glad i dont have to worry about making a living during these hot days.. but getting things done is still needed no matter how the weather is.... so i will stumble around doing as little as possible.. ha ha ha ha

ya'll be careful out there and dont over-do .. its better to be a little behind than laying in bed suffering from heat exhaustion

Good Late Morning Everybody!

I was taking Carina to work this morning when the local police officer pulled me over. She's a friend of ours and politely informed me my tags were expired. I said, "No they're up in September." She said, "Nope, ...February." I looked and sure enough they were 6 months expired. She let me go and two hours later I had everything legal again. I guess Alice's tags were due in September. I was a little embarrassed to say the least. Then while I was spending money, I went around and paid some bills. I guess I better get back on the mower and get the field cut before it gets brutal out there.
