the front crash bar that’s on the 2001s? My 2001 has it and I freaking hate it. Yiu cN see it cause I have a Ranch hand style bumper I made and when I designed the sides I made them sweep up so yiu can see the corners of the crash bar.
They called it a bash bar on the pmf website. I'm sure we are talking about the same thing though. It says it's only recommended for a 4inch and up lift so I should be fine with out it I would think.

it’s basically to keep you from crashing over the car if you get in a accident. Sort of the thing that’s part step part bumper part crash bar a 18 wheeler trailer has on the end so a car can’t go under the trailer if they rear end the trailer.
the reason Ford did it was because the 99 and I think 2000 Superduty sat so high up that in accidents they went over the car they hit. I know my 99 F250 sits high that peope this kit has a lift kit on it and it’s all stock height

Gotcha, thanks, now I understand. I'm not going to get one. I didn't have time to check my toe in alignment yesterday so I will try to do it this afternoon. Just depends on what I have to do for work this afternoon. Things change so quick and go from having a day off to not having a day off or having a couple hours in the afternoon to not having any time at all and getting home at dark. Just never know what's going to happen.

Take all the work you can get brother. Start stacking cash
I pulled my evap coil today and cleaned it. AC still isn't working. I think I have a freon leak. It's been going downhill these past few days after I recharged it. this morning after I shut the truck off I got out with the hood open and heard a hissing noise by the accumulator. It didn't last but a couple seconds and it dissipated. I'm not sure if I lost my Freon or what because I don't have AC gauges anymore. Can I buy AC dye somewhere? I know they make some dye that you can see under a black light so that when your AC leaks you can find it at very easily. Where would be the best place to buy this? Sous's video came in very handy when pulling everything off to get to the EVAP coil! Thanks Sous!
Yire most likely gonna want a Freon leak tracer. It’s a wand like device and it traces Freon leaks. If it’s
leaking that fast it’s a major leak either a bad O ring or a cracked nose or joint.

I can't believe I'm having problems already. I rebuilt the AC system last year and replaced all the o-rings in the system, flushed the whole system, new accumulator, new compressor, new orifice tube, and I even had new valve cores but I don't remember if I put those in or not. I do remember that I had hell getting the orifice tube out because it broke off. And I believe in the process of using a pic to try to grab on to the remaining pieces I scratched the sealing surface but that would be a slow leak and that was a year ago. I will definitely have to look into it because after today it just quit working completely. AC compressor is on but it's not cooling very well at all. Worst time of the year for the AC to mess up. When it's 120°.
I'm going to call my buddy who is a AC mechanic. He's the one that pulled a vacuum on the system and charged it after I changed out all the parts. I'm sure he probably has that little detector wand you're talking about. Thanks!
