Thanks Ross, previouly my 15" rims were a solid body colour but with these 16" rims I decided to kick em up a notch. I think the pin stripe gives them a bit of punch.

My plan is to try to reinstall the box/bed this weekend; that hinges on my wifes health and available manpower.
I used AN fittings for my fuel lines and discovered they are leaking, so another step backward. I'll try replacing the leaking fitting, and may have to rebuild the lines from scratch. I used 3/8 steel lines along the frame.. i may replace them with hose if plan A fails.
I decided to now tackle some rust that developed on a front fender , while I have the fenders off.

Closer to the finish line. Debugging fuel leak and need to bleed brakes but a good day.
Some fender repair.

And getting the box set on the frame. Many hands make short work.

Liking the return to original height.

Roughly 8" gain in height

Well sheet metal is bolted together, some deficiencies to clean up but happy with the overall outcome. I gain about 8" in height. Bottom of front rail is currently 16" from grade.

Making some miles with smiles

I have been driving the truck every day since getting it road worthy 4 weeks ago. I took advantage of another beautiful Autumn day today to check things over. I have been working on little fixes as required, most of them wiring.

I would like to change out the steering box before winter weather comes. I am happy with the results of the frame swap overall.

10 1/2 months later

Roughly 10.5 months later, the truck is road worthy again. We've had a great Fall so have been driving it daily.

I have a to do list to complete next Spring: rewire the fuse block, install rebuilt steering box, fix an exhaust leak on header and wire a dash control switch for the electric fan; . I did install a hood latch pin this month to ensure the hood is secured, one off the list.

We still meet weekly in my town to drive our rides. We should be able to sqeeze out a couple more times before Winter.
