My build day was supposed to be 8/12 but my info and several others did not update. I noticed the date on the bottom of my window sticker changed to 8/13.
Dealer reported that Thursday my truck was on a train in Nebraska. I went in to begin final discussions on financing.
Got low ball offer for my 2019 trade. Fine, although I HATE this process, it is what it is.
Ran out of time since I had to pick up 4,000sf of flooring so I had to leave the dealer. I hate car dealers except the one where I bought my 2016 SD. Did everything over the phone from 600 miles away.
Reviewed initial Purchase Agreement and saw it does not include my $1k deposit nor $2k PCO
Reached out to salesman and pointed this out. His response was that my $1k deposit will be included but Ford does not have any incentives right now.
Reminded him via txt early this morning that I brought in the PCO code when we first started this, he got confirmation that dealer would honor the PCO beyond the 7/6 expiration
Sounds like this deal may go sideways and not happen if they are going back on the agreement.
Well dang. Dealer told me my build day/week is 8/11 awhile back. The system didn't update a change in status. No window sticker. Dealer said the same as they don't show a change of the truck going into the production phase. The truck order was entered into the system 3/26. Interesting that trucks entered into the system later than mine have been delivered and or are in production. Nothing special extra with the truck other than it's Platinum, moonroof, upfitter switches, boost heater & wheel well liners. No bed liner, bed cover, 5th wheel prep and adaptive steering. Wonder if it's the dealer and their allocation making things slow.
Or
How many days does it take for the system to show an update in status?

adaptive steering seems to be the biggest hurdle with orders. Gonna have to ride it out since it’s too late to drop it

I don't have adaptive steering in my build. AS doesn't make sense to me. Why would a manufacture build into a truck an inferior steering system that you can fix by shelling out an $1000 option.

Truck is fine without a.s. You pay $1000 to reduce the amount of wheel turns while doing slow maneuvers. Definitely worth the add after driving both and having a.s. for the last 4 years.
It is a great addition but hard to come by apparently since my April order is not scheduled.
Just got word from the dealer (salesman) they will NOT honor the $2k PCO now. Cancelled the deal. Will reevaluate next spring with a different dealership. Even if I have to buy a plane ticket and drive a new truck home, I will NOT be dealing with these people ever.
So when my truck got scheduled and I got a VIN the color of the truck changed form AB to black. To be fair, the color was black from 5/24 all the way to 8/4, which is when I changed the color to AB. On 8/4 I also removed the UTT package, changed the platform running boards to the extended chrome running boards and added the XLT Value package. When I clicked on the "Track my order" button in the email from Ford notifying me that my order was scheduled, it did not list any of my packages, but what concerned me more was that the color was listed as black again instead of the AB that I had recently changed it too, however, the running boards was correct, so I knew that something was wrong. I went to my dealer after work and we found out that while all the packages (HCTT, XLT Value, Snow plow/camper) was still on the order sheet, the color was indeed changed back to black. So, he contacted a "field manager" to see about getting the color changed back... I just "tracked my order" again, and now the color is listed as AB, so the must have gotten it changed back, even after assigned! I'll admit, I would have been fine with either color, but I did like that AB because it looked black (like I wanted) but it had a little more character to it with the blue... I also wonder if it will be slightly easier to keep clean... I dunno, maybe that's just me. Anyway though, I officially have a build week and a VIN, and at this point, it looks like my order is input correct! (I still kick myself for removing the UTT though...)
Saying all of that, I still can't get my VIN to retrieve any info on the Mach E site, but one other person that received their VIN Thursday said that they could pull up theirs... is there anyone else that can or can't get theirs to pull up? If not, I'm curious how long it took others for it to pull up? I don't imagine there is a cut and dry answer, but just curious about others experiences...
Edit to add: ..... and now it's back to black.... I don't know what's going on with it....
Edit again.... and it's back to AB now, but now it doesn't show the pictures of the truck... just the blue oval... lol!
Finally "Awaiting Shipment". Says Est. delivery 8/22. Hopefully won't take too long, only coming to TN.
I'm wondering when mine is built/shipped, if it'll be rail or trucked. My dealer is just outside Birmingham, so not sure what the cutoff is for train vs truck delivered.

Wow, really sorry to hear that. Crazy times right now but a deal is a deal. I don't blame you one bit.
u all got to take it easy people that have picked up there truck worried about status change on the tracker still... Some hanging on the word of a tracker its not a perfect system... everyone just relax I am sure u will get your trucks soon...Dont let the headline be "He had a heart attack but hey his truck came the next day"

I'm also worried my dealer will try to low-ball me on my trade. Before I ordered, I told my sales guy that I was leery about ordering without knowing what the real bottom line was going to be until after I had waited months for the truck to get built. I figured once I signed the order, all the leverage shifted to the dealer if I really wanted the truck. I told him that I would have no problem walking away and leaving the new truck sitting in the parking lot if they tried to screw me on my trade. And I got it in writing that I would get my deposit back. He assured me they wouldn't low ball my trade. And I'm also number three in line to buy that bridge they are selling...... I'm still optimistic though, I'm using the same guy that I got my F-150 from in 2017 and I felt good about that deal but my hand is starting to cramp from keeping my fingers crossed!!
Yeah my dealer told me yesterday that my old PCO for $1500 that expired in July will not be able to be applied. He showed me in Smart Vincent where it says it is expired... he also showed me a couple of other rebates that show up in there, one of which a lady at Ford Marketing told me was $1000, but when he pulled them up they all showed $0... that's a bummer. I do have a $500 Farm Bureau rebate, but was really hoping for the $1500 PCO instead... maybe I will still get lucky before the truck gets here and get one though. I am still curious though if anyone with one that expired July 6th has used it on their 22 purchase now after the expiration date... still see some saying they can, but have yet to hear from anyone that actually has...

Once my truck has been loaded on the train I will go and see what the dealer will give me for my old truck. I will then most likely advertise and sell it privately for more. I did this with my wifes car when we bought her Jeep this spring. I was able to get $3000 more than the Jeep dealer offered for my trade from their sister Subaru dealership just down the street. I already have had two different people show interest in my old truck. There just isn't much on the market and that isn't changing anytime soon. If I get a good offer from the dealer fine, I will trade. Make a low offer and I will sell it.
