The EGTs are still getting stupid high though. Also, it appears the EBP sensor has a FSD (channeling Sous' love of TLAs here) of 55psi absolute. The VGT/VNT comes with its own drive and boost pressure sensors so it will be interesting to see the logs of those.

I still stand by my original comments from post #39, which I have noted below...

Despite the boost and RPM climbing, the EGT continues to climb to 1600 where the gauge is pegged.

I think you will be very pleased with the new SXE turbo and hopefully the VGT/VNT is a great performer too.

On a side note, I really like the gauge overlay that you used. I should have done that for my gauges when I was creating some of my videos...

It would be nice to see you do this again with a different tuner! I to run DP tunes, but like every body says I have to watch my EGT's all the time to. Especially when towing. It is going to be nice to see what the sxe does for you with dp. But your boost is now there.

I enjoyed reading thru and catching up. That turbonator is a interesting piece. I run a roots blower feeding into a S369. If I was actually still playing with my 7.3 I would look at using one on to spool up my S369 1.0 faster and gain the brake function. I'll be following along.

Holy cow. Over 3 bar of boost and over 3000 rpm! That is outstanding.

Thanks! The retaining the exhaust brake/EBPV function is what attracted to to the VGT/VNT turbine housing too. I have yet to find your build thread on PSN. I doubt your setup is suffering from lag though.

Not really but could be improved upon. The blower also works as a brake as well. You just put it in neutral to coast being a manual truck. It holds itself back pretty good. I posted a summary thread in the OBS section.

I got set up to bench test the Turbonator yesterday and ran into a hiccup. It seems I might have a wonky controller. It refused to close the vanes down to 0% when commanded. I spent an hour and a half with their tech Brett trying to figure it out before he told me to send the controller and entire wire harness in. It's going back today. Stay tuned for more news.

Subscribed to this one. Very curious on the Turbonator. Be kind of nice to have exhaust brake. Although if my research is correct, is this looking like roughly a $2500 additional price tag (if getting exhaust brake option on Turbonator) to the already "close to $2500" price of upgrading to the T4/SXE? So close to $5000? If so, ouch.....

Performed a quick, uncalibrated reclocking for another mockup today.

Heard back from DPS. They were able to reproduce my issue. I apparently fat-fingered the keyboard and somehow managed to get the controller to accept an implausible value. They have fixed it and it's on its way back to me.

Glad that got it fixed and it's on the way back. Can't wait for the review of this. Is that the carson T4? Is it stainless steel?

I too am really looking forward to the results of this. This is simply not in the cards for me, but I fully support your adventure into the unknown and hopeful for incredible results.

I don't see that orientation fitting under the cowl.
