Heres some pics don't mind the wiring have new loom for it just Waiting to comfiRM it's all good to go first Intake tube Fan Half of fuel crossover its hard to get a pic of Other half Tractor
I think it will be a fun, cheaper project. Does anyone know if it its possible to change the name of this thread? Should I add crown swap or irs swap in the title so people searching can find it easier?
Thanks, They are firmer and they sit a little taller I think. But then again I think my stock seat sat the same until you drove 5 minutes or so and then you slowly sank to the floor and that bothered my back. Once I took the old seat apart and saw how nasty it was under the cover plus all the mouse damage Im glad its gone either way, I always had a odor I couldn't get rid of now its gone.
Had a day off work yesterday and got alot done dispite it being in the high 90s with 80%humidity. Pulled the bed again an finished the exhaust, I only had to change the tail pipes they went over the axle before but with the irs they had to go under. I used the old tail pipes just cut the bends up and reconfigured they were only a year old, looks a bit patched togather but they will be a good pattern if someday I decide to replace with new pipe. Also washed under the bed and checked all nuts and bolts and bled breaks before putting bed back on. I plan to order the tuner today and that's the last big item. The plan is for the wife and I to take the truck on a 2.5 hour trip to the thousand islands for our 5th anniversary the end of August, there's a cruise in up there that weekend also so will be the first time I have been able to take it to any event thanks to Covid and working on it. Bed removal for the 100th time it feels like Routing under ifs Exhaust looks like this both sides, also shimmed me rear cab mount this rear corner was 3/8 low ever since I replace the body mounts not sure it that normal but looked alot worse then in this pic. Ill have to get an after shot.
I got seat belts orders and my sct4 tuner ordered with a bass tune from moes speed shop, also have a remote tuning session scheduled for the 13th. Had to install a wide band af guage for the tuning so that's done, donno where to Mont it so stuck it in the glove box for now. Also installed a cable to hook it to the tuner/data logger. Last I got some rubber parts installed from the grill to radiator support as well as fenders to rad support they have always been missing getting closer
Nothing picture worthy to report but my sct x4 tuner arrived and I got the custom base tune loaded and got it linked to my laptop for datalogging, ready for next tues tuning date. I have to still set the ride height and I am waiting on seat belts, battery hold down, and a new set of msd ignition coils to arrive.
Put a new set of plugs in as well as the new coils. It's ready to be tuned tomarrow so I towed it to my mother's because I have no cell service at my house and will need it for remote tuning. Hopefully it goes well. Ready for the big 2 mile journey to my mothers
did some remote tuning last night and it seems to runs well, 11 psi of boost on the gauge in the 2500 to 5000 rpm pulls. My fuel is keeping up at 5000rpm but the pump duty cycle is just about 100% so I need to install a relay and lager wires and send another datalog to the tuner. Hopefully that along with the areomotive 340 pump I already have it will lower it enough for this set up, if not a booster pump will be needed. but I can drive it as long as I don't go drag racing or push it crazy hard.
Did you have moes speed shop do the tune? I have tried the email tunes with my coyote swap but the couple small different of the control pack vs stock mustang has proven to be too challenging for the place I used.
Was going to use Lund but 800-1000 bucks for a stock coyote with a different intake is a hard pill to swallow.
Yes I used moes, he sent me a tuner and base tune he made based on the mods I have done so the engine starts and runs, then they have a sesson with you over the phone where they very remote connect to your computer and up the software how they want it and check everything at idle and 2500, and show you how to datalog. Then you go datalog a pull send it they adjust the tune reload and repeat if needed. Sorry if you already know all this but was all new to me and might help someone. I am very happy so far.
It made the 31 mile trip to work no problem, needs a bit of fine tuning for cold starts but we will get there. Ran and shifted good and i am getting the coilovers dialed in but already better then struts and leaves, the 3.55 gears are just what I wanted still fun but 2100 rpm at 65. Best of all ac is still working.
