Some progress on the rear suspension dont mind my mess I was in the "zone". Monlunting the suspensiom to the bottom of the frame made ride hieght to tall for my so i had to recess the rear mount 2 inches. The front mounts are just to hold it while I build permanent ones. Then the whole thing will have to be boxed for strength I also had to modify the top part where the sway bars mount so I can still hopefully fit a stock fuel tank. Displacement replacer Just set in place
Got some more done tonight, mounts are done coil overs are mounted and gas tank is goin to fit with a small but of rubber hammer work to the front lower corners and bending the seam up so it fits between the rails. I think the ebrake cables will hook up to the stock truck pull assembly. The driveshaft will have to be shortened so hopefully I can go to a one piece shaft also. One other thing I didn't know the irs uses 14mm lugs which is bigger then the crown vic. Here is where I am at still needs to come back apart so I can finish grind and repaint the frame.
Boxed part of the frame where the subframe is, painted it and installed subframe hopefully for last time Had to pie cut the end of the sub Frame for fuel tank cleanance Finished
I got the fuel tank reinstalled, I also swapped the stock pump out for a 340lph aeromotive unit. This should supply enough fuel even with the supercharger. Took some pics of the sending unit I am using because I couldn't find much info on it whe I originally built the truck. I used a fuel injection tank and sending out of a 85? bull nose f100. Adapted the sender to fit the crown vic level sensor as well as fuel pump and bypass. It works well so far I set the float so empty is accurate but guage does stay on full for quite a while befor dropping. I am using crown vic guages
My supercharger heatexchanger showed up I bought a used on with broken tabs because it was 1/4 the price of new and I would have to move the mounting tabs anyway for my untraditional setup. The tabs looks a but funny but should fit in the space I have above the radiator, since I used a crown vic radiator and it is mounted low to use stock hoses.
started the supercharger install last night i had a couple hours to work on it. I got the coolant drained, intake off and same unused bosses ground off in the valley so the new lower intake will fit. The battery will have to move now because the intake will be on the opposite side. and a bunch of other small pia changes. Stock with cover off One boss ground off onto the other Quick mock up
Still waiting in my front coils overs was a 4 to 6 week wait so should be soon, I did procure a 2003 4.6 from an explorer. It has yhe better pi head as well as an aluminum engine block. It makes about 30 hp more and weights 80ish lbs less. I have also been researching and contacting a vender and a tuner on a eaton m112 supercharger swap and I'm pretty sure I will do that in the future.
It is always nice when the future ends up no so far in the future! The 4.6 is a solid engine and the supercharger will cure the lack of displacement. The truck is going to be a lot of fun when you get it done!

With any luck it will wake the truck up, I am installing the kit with stock boost on the factory 08 4.6 to keep cost down but its only got 79000 miles on the odometer but there is a ford remain tag on the block so could be less, this will also let me drive it next summer. I ant to eventually rebuild the aluminum block 4.6 I have with forged rod and pistons, good valves and springs and blowers cams. But it have learned I do better taking small steps and keeping it drivable, otherwise I am afraid I might loss interest.
Haven't had much time to work on truck since we had our first child Nov 30th but I had a few hours last night and got the intake and supercharger mounted. Figured out where to mount the intercooler, put in some cooler plugs. I also had to put a non police interseptor alternator on so it would fit. Kits made for a mustang so there are some challenge fitting it to a crown vic and more if the crown vic parts are in a truck. The stock crown vic fan won't fit now so I will go to a slimmer aftermarket one. The intake tube and the ac lone are fighting for space and the fuel rail cross tube needs to be longer now. But it's coming. Fills the engine bay a little better Intake vs ac hose Cooler mocked up i will install nutserts for final mounting New alternator and mounting location will need thinner fan i dont want to move radiator condenser oil and trans coolers and change all the hoses to run the stock fan
Congrats on the new born You must be used to changging diapers by now
