Well it's been a while but I built and installed some anti drone tubes and the exhaust still sounds good but quiet inside. I installed 80+ door weather strip but have to slam the doors so hard that I put stock style back on after a few weeks. i tried extra air holes adjusting stricker and lung the trim but it just didn't work on my truck. I still think the truck rides to stiff so I bought a a irs our of a 2017 mustang and a set of coil overs for all 4 corners. Hopefully I can get it all installed this winter even though my wife and I I are expecting our first child around thanksgiving. Time will tell, sorry for yhe long post but I have some pics Lower control arm brackets from outcast i made my own from the stock crown vic parts. They funtion fine but these are so much nicer have poly bushings and use shims for alignment. And this guys fab work is awsome wish i knew about them when i built the truck This is the irs complete with sway bar and ebrake cables, its 3.55 gears and limited slip Rear coil overs for mustang irs still waitingnon the fronts but they both have 19 rebound and dampening adjustments
Decided to try a set of peep mirrors, these clamp on so no need for more holes. I like the way they look and these have convex lenses so you can see good out of the drivers side the passengers side not so much, but I had kinda expected that. I kept goin back and forth on mirrors, these might be keepers. We will see
Still waiting in my front coils overs was a 4 to 6 week wait so should be soon, I did procure a 2003 4.6 from an explorer. It has yhe better pi head as well as an aluminum engine block. It makes about 30 hp more and weights 80ish lbs less. I have also been researching and contacting a vender and a tuner on a eaton m112 supercharger swap and I'm pretty sure I will do that in the future.

The 08 Crown Vic engine you swapped in will have better heads than that Explorer engine. They are the same PI style heads (Crown Vic went to PI style in 01), but should have 8 threads for each spark plug instead of the 4 in the Explorer heads, less likely to blow out the spark plug.
Thanks for the info I was finding conflicting info if the crown vic was pI or not. If it is I'll swap the heads I have been considering doing head gaskets aslo before I swap it in

thanks again for the info i used a mirror and got the number off one of the heads on the crown vic engine and sure enough pi heads. Has me rethinking my plan, i think i will. put the supercharger on the engine in the truck now, because i know the mileage and that its runs well. I can run a stock pulley and a safe tune on the stock internals without damage. That will buy me time to save and properly go threw the explorer engine with forged internals and blower cams so i can do more boost later on if i want more hp , we all know how that works. It might take a couple years but i should be able to have a driving truck each summer between phases, least thats my hope.
My viking coil overs with the brackets from andrews performance showed up yesterday so i installed them last night. What a difference in ride and handling. They fit perfectly. With them adjusted for full height the front dropped alost an inch and can be lowered about 2 more inches. Can't wait to get them on the rear.
Still slowly gathering parts, got the super charger. I have a manafold and dipstick job on a superduty coming this weekend so that will help fund the cause also
Still gthering parts for the engine, but I pulled the bed tonight to get ready for the rearend swap. i also had a 2018 express van on the lift at work the other day and the driveshaft might be long enough for me f100 so I can.have a 1 piece aluminum driveshaft. I won't know for sure until the new rears in though.
Nice on the irs. I am putting the same one in my truck. Decided before I Hack the frame, built brackets that will be welded to. Have it all tacked for now. Going to sit it on the ground this weekend to see how ride height is.
Looks great I was thinkin same thing tack brackets and check ride height and hopefully won't have to hack frame to much. Are you running coil overs ?
yes, I got the kit from Andrew. Should have all the tacking done and on the floor this weekend. I’ll respond back when I do so you can get an idea of height.
Got the 8.8 rearend and springs out that will be posted is classifieds in the future along with the lowering hangers and shackles. Still have to remove the tail pipes but I rolled the irs under just to see. I also ordered the tork tech kit for mounting the supercharger, it's mostly the parts to mount and turn the SC I will have to source bigger injectors , maf, fuel pump and heat exchanger from various vehicles to make it all work. I did get a throttle body for a 2010 gt500 to use with the sc with very little modification needed to bolt it on and its bigger mm and uses the same plugs to operate as the crown vic harness has already
