Had some time today, I have been trying to figure out how to make the elbow off the super charger work. The throttle body was hitting the fuel pressure regulator, and the intake tube needed to go where the ac line was. I am not giving up ac and the line doesn't have the flexibility to not be in the way, and I can't really move the fuel pressure regulator. I had some 1/4 hot rolled plate, a scrap 2.5 inch exhaust bend, and a plasma cutter so made and elbow. Its just tacked up for proof of concept and needs plates cut to fill the top and bottom, finish welded and a lot of cleaning and grinding but I think it will work. I have a cuple pieces of 3/4 plate I will tack the ends to.while.welding prevent the 1/4 plate from warping. Stock elbow works great on a 4v mustang not so much on a f100 2v frankentruck and i didnt need the idle air control on the stock elbow Rough and ugly but i think it will work when finished Throttle body clears everything
I got the elbow welded up once it cools I will cut it loose of the 1 inch plate that hopefully kept the flanges straight. If it worked I'll clean it up and paint
Went to the u pull it yard today found a set of leather seats out of a 08 f150 lariat x cab and a center consol from a 2000 f150 if the consol fits I'll die it black. The on from the 08 had the shifter in it and went tk the dash so wouldn't work. Hopefully I can make the seats work they have the belts built in the driver's is power with manual recline. Passengers manual with power lumbar think they have heat too, worth a gamble for $72.24.
Mocking up the plumbing for engine coolant, sc coolant and intake. Most if the throttle body, and maf wires need to be rerouted and lengthened that's why the harness is a mess
Moving alone still, Plumbings done added a collant tank from a taurus. The intercooler tank and coolant pump from a mustang and the intercooler cooling system primed and pumped fine i was a bit worried because my setups alot different then stock. I also swapped out the power steeing resorvior for a mustang one because the mounting and hose outlets let me mount it on the firewall. Wiring is almost done waiting on a pigtail for the map sensor old map was built into the maf . The new bigger maf doesn't have it built in so had to add a map from a mustang. Throttle body and maf wiring were lenghtned. The intake tube and filter are routed and mounted. Battery box was cut apart and rewelded to work on the driver's side and the battery cable was routed to drivers side. The alternator cable will work after being removed from the harness loom and rerouted. I stI'll have to wire the coolant pump to keyed power and I have to plug the vaccum lines as well as the pcv catch can. Coolant pump and tank Where new intake filter are now 4 inch seems huge to me after having 3 inch before Air filter from grill should get cold air Intercooler final mounting Rad coolant tank and intake Catch can hopefully will keep the supercharger clean I will re wrap the harness but want to fire it first and make sure theres not any electrical issues
Well my black seat didn't pan out as I hoped way to tall and really would have been a ton of work take them fit. So I called around and a salvage yard about an hour away had a rear bench from an 05 sd 4dr king ranch, I called and the said it was in good shape so I had them send it to a shop I used to work at because it was free shipping to them and close to home. Picked it up today and it's not exactly what I pictured. I was thinking 1 piece bench well it's not. It will fit with minor mods , mainly section an inch or so out of the mounts to lower my sight line in the windshield, color looks good with truck, it has console, and it's comfy but it folds up im not sure if that's a plus or minus. What do you guys think. Send it back or use it.
small update I shipped my drive shaft yokes out today to have a 1 pc 4 inch aluminum driveshaft built for the truck. I wanted the 1 pc shaft the first time but was afraid it could contact the crossmember with the truck being lowered if rear suspension bottomed out, the irs solves all that now. I originally had the stock 2 pc rebuilt with the front shaft 3 inches longer new carrier bearing, ujoints and with the correct yokes for the 4r75e trans and 8.8 rearend. It had a slight vibration at first but worked ok after I figured out the shop never went threw the trouble of checking the rear joint and it had an 1/8th inch of play side to side after it got some miles on it. The spicer u joints for that application come with multiple thickness clips to take up any slack and they just put the thinnest clip in and the caps walked out to them leaving play. I also found other ujoints had a different thickness retainer clip one side vs the other on the same joint and didn't like that. The shop would fix it or take any fault so I fixed it myself, that same shop is the only one local that does aluminum shafts which I need do to the length so I choose to sent it out, I would rather deal local but it is what it is. hopefully I will have the driveline done in a couple weeks.
Found your thread. Fantastic build. Thats a crazy rear IFS setup and curious your thoughts on the SC setup when your done on it. Im torn between that and a coyote swap down the road on mine to give it a little more power. The 4.6 runs fantastic though in mine.

I will let you know on SC, I also looked at the coyote but I already had a lower mile great running 4.6 with working ac and I just wanted more power ,no I didnt really need it BUT I decided to try the sc, we will see if it was the right call. Worse case at lease it will make cool Mad Max noises.
