My 73
- I have been on the forums alot over the year started in the ranger, then the idi diesels and superduty, but it's been a few years and I bought a 73 f100 in october. I took a chance and bought it on ebay been sitting for 20 plus years not running and the grill bumpers and many interior parts were missing. I had it shipped to ny and got lucky the body was rock solid no rust. Its a manual steering manual break 3 on the tree 302 truck, The wiring was burnt up and rear half or the driveshaft was also missing so I decided to do a crownvic swap complete with motor trans ac and electrical system from a 08 vic I'll post what pis I have but unfortunately lost most all I had in when my phone was broken
When she showed up
Donor 08 crown vic 84000 miles clean 1 owner
Out with the old
In with the newo
Sorry about poor pics hope to get it outside soon and get better ones with new tires

I would love to do a CV drop to an 80's truck and may yet but the frame is not flat like the early trucks up front.
The other think is a full CV frame swap.
Dave ----
I considered the full frame swap but I decided to keep mine a long bed, I could have stretched the vic frame and kept the vic tank and rear suspension but didn't want to put a bump in the bed for the tank and suspension, also my frame was spotless. Now that i have gotten farther into mine i think I will have to minI tub to fit the 18x10s in the rear with 295 40 18 tires. And using the stock ear truck tank withe the vic level sensor and vic fuel pump and bypass valve presented to challanges so both ways have there pros and cons I believe.
Maybe post it :

Cut the peice in half
Taper to try and make them look kinda professional
Drill some holes
Attached to frame ready for some paint
Probably not the best way to shack spraypaint but worked great. I love this high solid paint covers great and fast but will settle in can with time
Finished except for correct hardware
