Last night I was reading where one of the local bars (that serves a few things on a menu) was packed tight with patrons. It could go either way on that. There could have been 50 to 70 people who did not have Covid, and everyone will be fine, or there could be 1 person that had it, and 50-70 new cases of it next week.
Yeah, Julie asked if I wanted to go out for lunch today somewhere, but then we decided that maybe she would just pick up takeout, then after I weighed myself today, I decided I needed to eat a salad.
MY opinion hasn't changed much-- World is still crazy-- Some of the "laws" and regulations surrounding Covid- is just insane--- "the pools are open but you can only have one kid in a pool at a time"-- REALLY?
No pools open here. There are soooo many different opinions of what people think is right, about this, that in the end, it may be just one more thing to split the communities.
Cruises aren't allowed in some towns, because it may draw onlookers that may not follow social distancing rules. Others give it the OK.
Pools being closed makes sense due to the difficulty in keeping many unrelated people at a distance and gee, how do I wear a mask in a pool. Does the water transmit the virus and all kinds of other questions. The cruise thing makes very little sense for something like the local Yard Art Club, but maybe a major cruise that attracts hundreds of cars is different. Then again how do you stop and ad hoc cruise.
Yeah, It sounds like Yard Art tried to organize another cruise, but city officials shut it down. The first one was fun, but not nearly organized enough to make it an epic event. It had a promising potential, but they tried too hard to spread it out too far. They needed space with fewer stop lights, and a more condensed area with some cars going one direction, and the other half going the other direction.
SO basically local governemt did what they normally do-- CLosed the event due to a few people who MIGHT do something wrong-- instead of actually getting the people who are doing wrong-- Just my .02$
That is correct, but that is what some people are pushing for. They want a socialist society, or communistic society, because they cannot be responsible for themselves.
I was talking today to someone who said they weere getting 1100 dollars a week being laid off due to the virus-- When she was working cutting hair she only made $500 a week. They were given a choice to go back to work or not and wait till first of July-- She said of course she wasn't going to go back to work-- because she makes way more money without taxes this way. -- I was upset by the whole thing. I shouldn't have let it bother me-- but It does. I wor hard and don't make 1100 a week-- I make just over that for 2 weeks (after taxes) Biggest problem with the Gov is they spend what they don't have.
